man, think about how phenomenal anna torv is. playing two genetically identical people who act just different enough that you can tell them apart...and then flip flopping them and being able to keep them straight! That's...really amazing.

My favourite actor and double from the show is Walter. I really felt like i was watching 2 different people basically with the same face. Everybody likes to think that the other world is evil. It is not,it is actually the side that responds to a mistake our Walter made knowing full well the consequence out of grief. The other Walter might seem evil but he basically does the same thing for having his son taken away. He is just more powerfull in stature and title. I know i had my moments for hating them making our world suffer but in truth if the roles were reversed in terms of universes we would do the same damn thing. Respond in terms of war caused by ignorance and emotion. Truly a brilliant cast and show to watch.

Why do they call her "Bolivia"? I always called her "Fauxlivia," which makes more sense, I think.

they call her Bolivia since she´s like Olivia number 2, B-Olivia

+Connor Swanson Bolivia is actually Bad-Olivia. Fauxlivia is a term that came much later, brought forth by the fans. Bolivia is the term the cast and writers use.

Maybe the term B-OLIVIA wasn´t used anymore because the similarity of the Name with the South American Nation.

I still think Peter should have seen the difference...Fauxlivia is nothing like our Olivia...besides, he noticed the differences immediately when he met her on the other side!

+dominicansoul1 I will cite season 3, episode 4, in which the wife of the deceased senator, who's been living with the shapeshifter version of him says (paraphrasingly) you see what you want to see. Fauxliva told Peter she came back changed because wistnessing the other Olivia's life made her want to live differently. And with that explanation, he set aside all objections he may have had against her.

yes, maybe her manners and way of acting/behaving changed, but physically? Peter even told fauxlivia that his Olivia was "darker in the eyes." I don't know...I never understood how he could not see fauxlivia for who she really was...its a nice explanation you've given, but it still bothers me...

dominicansoul1 The eye comment is figurative, not literal. She is "darker in the eyes," meaning she's more intense, there's more weight to her because of her traumatic history. Other than their hair color, they are genetically and physically similar, as noted by Walter. They are not clones of each other, or even twins (both of which would have physical differences) but the same person, just in separate worlds. The whole Marionette episode is all a metaphor for how despite being the same person, due to their experiences, or possibly having different souls, the two Olivias are not the same person (even though they are genetically and physically the same). That's why Olivia was so angry at Peter after the dying man (who resurrected the "marionette") told her he knew his love was gone because of her eyes. The man believed what he brought back was someone/thing else, because it was not the "soul" he recognized. Olivia herself even said she understood why Peter mistook them for each other, logically... (because they are the physically the same, and Fauxlivia was able to lie her way out of detection) but on an emotional level, she was still upset with him because he didn't recognize her "soul." I completely understand why you would be confused, but I believe that's due to us being a third party who witnessed the story. We know all the facts, so it's hard for us to be unbiased. We can't really say we would have realized she was someone else in his position. But, that speculation is part of the fun with Fringe.

Alice Singh They met when Peter was talking to Walternate. She came in to talk to Walternate, and Peter remarked how she reminded him of someone he knew, but that they had different hair colors.

Right, OLIVIA, other than VAUXLIVIA, is much more logic and selfcontrolled . Through her military like air she wouldn ´t have allowed herself beeing controlled by emotions in public. That just happened at private moments as in the garden behind the house of the puppet making scientist and in her appartment when OLIVIA tries to rins of her appartment of VAUXLIVIA and has her brakedown. Exellent executed by the script and Anna Torv herself. In an exellent cast like the one from FRINGE Anna Torv and John Nobel are standing out through their well performance. I am shure it will make them as famous worldwide as SHATNER and NEMOY through their STAR TREK roles.
