Great, great cast. Anna is absolutely perfect in her role. The character has this quiet strength and a bit of darkness, while still being so likeable. But Walter... Walter steals the show. For me its one of the greatest character portrayals I have ever seen anywhere.

I love Walter's character too but no doubt hands down. Anna Torv made the show for me. Watching her develop into an even stronger actor and have the ability to do things beyond playing the role of the gorgeous blonde sidekick for a change was very nice for the female audience. We honestly do get tired of Hollywood portraying women in this way as if we're not interesting on our own as people ? I think Anna is incredible aside from being gorgeous, there's a genuine quality she brings to each role she plays that's what separates good actors from great actors. She most definitely has what it takes to go very far, she's a brilliant talent. Loved her in her latest project Newsreader she was over the top ♥️

But Anna Torv had to fight for her salery. That is why she had almost left the show after the first season and why the second season started with this episode where I first thought she had been replaced already.

Anna Torv really does her American accent well. Even in season 5, she took it a step further, with adding the Boston to it, either that, or turned it up a little more. What I mean, is that because of the way she says "daughter" in season 5, you can't even tell she's really Australian.

Joshua Jackson auditioned for the role of Captain Kirk in the new Star Trek movie which Abrams directed. When Abrams saw the audition he said no to Joshua but then asked him to play Peter in Fringe. So it was in fact Abrams who cast Joshua. Hope this helps with questions

Yes, l recently learned this. Interesting ! I was speaking with a friend last night who is an actor/ comedian. She was asking my thoughts on how to manage disappointment when we try so hard for something we want in life so badly and it doesn't happen. My answer to her was, we sometimes get in our own way, that thing we think we wanted so desperately in the moment had we realized that thing,. We might be missing the next thing that is even better for us ? So try not to be deflated when things do not happen exactly the way you think they should, just keep being diligent in your craft and open to possibilities that could be at the next turn.

I would love to see this return. Honestly the cast the show couldn't have been better. The only thing that I think might have been off just a little was the timing. Fringe was years ahead of it's time. I wasn't even aware of it's existence until a year or two ago and I've watched the entire series 3 or 4 times already. The acting was excellent and the level of talent to create and act to a slightly different version of yourself ? To get to see these brilliant people and what they would do with that ? Marvelous ! ♥️

I know that is not a big thing but Nina Sharpe was one of my favorites. And this gives me more appreciation for everyone who is a part of the cast.

The entire cast was perfect ! I adored her character and the actor who played her. That role was the glue between all of the other relationships really if you think about it. Nina was very much like the mother figure of the story who was there from the beginning to nearly the end and supported everyone eventually when they most needed her. I was especially fond of her too but how can you love this show and not love all of them and what these people did for years of their own lives to create this thing we can go back and watch over again. It's like one of your favorite books. Everytime you read it again you'll glean something different from it. The 2nd time I watched it was the most exciting. There's so much going on you miss things the first time around so you pick up on subtle things you might have missed the first time. I was absolutely in love by the end of the series the first time though. What a phenomenal piece of art ! Bravo 👏

Agreed, so often fan's forget it takes a well written script, a director an entire supporting crew of creative people behind the scenes to make our most loved and even the people who are so talented we don't like who they are in that moment, shine. There are a lot of moving parts to create magic and then you've got the most important part of getting the right people together on screen. That's exactly like your recipe and if the ingredients are off ? You know it. This is most definitely one of my favorite series ever produced and I've grown especially fond of some of these actors I didn't know well before watching Fringe.. I would really love to see a feature 3hr return if the series can't come back ? I have ideas .. perhaps I'll start writing after I finish this other project.

The core three are just irreplaceable. I can't imagine this show being anywhere near as good if Anna, Josh and Mr Noble wasn't cast as Olivia, Peter and Walter. Edit: Let me revise that, the core FOUR because the late great Lance Reddick shall never be overlooked even by myself. This series was my first introduction to Lance, and he's always been spectacular in every other performance of his I've seen since, especially those Toys Are Me spoofs.

Also i love John Noble he is one of the greatest actors of all time, i love the role of Walter Bishop and am so damn sad that Fringe has ended :( I know it is stupid and silly but i didn't watch the last 6-7 episodes because i don't want the Story to end in my head, i don't want there to be a definitive ending that could be bad or sad. And in my head as long as i don't watch it everything is still good and everyone is alive etc. Now that i think about it it is really stupid but that's how i felt about it all these years. Strange..
