Thanks so much for watching! So... watching through this show again, made me want to watch Teen Titans again... should I make a video on Teen Titans at some point?

Speaking of Teen Titans, if anyone remembers, whenever we heard Puffy AmiYumi sing the theme in Japanese you knew it was going to be a good episode!

I remember the episode where Yumi entered a hot dog eating contest but she could only eat hotdogs during baseball games so ami did a whole baseball game by herself so Yumi could win

The funniest thing is the real Puffy AmiYumi's reaction to the show: "Why did they turn us into lesbians?"

My sister and I loved this show!! We joked that i was Ami and she was Yumi, but as we've gotten older we've definitely switched personalities. Loved the video!🖤🖤

I was obsessed with this show as a kid. Definitely one of Cartoon Network's most underrated shows!

I've literally been thinking about this show for over 10 years and could not remember what it was called. Thank you so much for this. I love this freaking channel💖🥰

Before this showed aired back in 2004, I knew nothing about Japan or Japanese culture outside of a few anime shows mostly from Studio Ghibli. Little did I know the door it would open. Now I'm a Japanese major in college, about to leave for a year abroad in Japan, with career plans heavily involving Japanese. All because I tuned into some quirky show on Cartoon network when I was 10 years old.

Yumi's character design is most definitely my favorite out of all the cartoon/anime/whatever else character designs I have ever seen.

I miss Puffy Ami Yummi! It was a fun and wacky comedy that had me in tears of laughter and joy thanks to their music! I doubt we'll ever get another show like this for a while, but when it aired, it was awesome! Also, I love their take on Night begins to Shine! Highly Recommend!!!!!

I remember this one episode where Yumi dialed back Ami's clock so that she'd wake up five minutes later so that Yumi could get some extra sleep. But in doing so, Ami did everything throughout the day five minutes slower. So they're playing catch with a frisbee if I remember, and Yumi throws it at Ami, but it hits her in the face and knocks her over. But she doesn't feel anything for five minutes and lays there on the floor, before suddenly feeling pain.

Every “wait remember” video he makes just digs into the core of my childhood, and rips a giant chunk out of the fiber of my being that I didn’t even know was there.

So crazy story. I went to an Anime Convention where Ami and Uni came as guests. I went to a panel they were hosting which was sort of how they became a band and answer fan questions. This one kid, who had to be around 17 to 20 went up to the mic and said a really long paragraph directed at Ami in Japanese. After he finished Ami looked shocked, then Umi translated what he said. This American guy tried asking Ami out. Then Ami replied with something along the lines “Do you Americans not know we are in our 40s, married, with kids?” He noticeably made them insanely uncomfortable and the whole crowd just stares daggers at him.

Time flies so fast, this was one of my favorite shows back when I was just 7, basically mostly cartoon network shows that were around mid 2000's were my go to cartoons (I'm from southeast asia and the shows were a bit later released I guess), I'm kind of a cartoon addict when I was a kid, and until now even as a young adult when I get a chance to watch I still love them, the sense of nostalgia just hits you so hard that it makes you remember the days when you don't have to care about anything.

I was 4 when this show came out, and let me tell you, this show literally changed the course of my life. I drew these characters everywhere, and to this day some of my art styles can be traced back to this show. I got into drumline because I wanted to be Ami. I got into Japanese culture and started watching Pokemon because of this show. This show (and spongebob..) was literally my childhood. :)
