You shouldn't. Weasels are not pets and as for as I know, not up for adoption. I found Ozzy when he was a baby and don't keep him in a cage. He comes and goes as he pleases, staying out for days in a row now and then. A weasel in a cage is a very unhappy weasel. And remember, they're carnivores and will bite you when hungry.

We had a wild one in our garden this past week and it was just as bouncy as this, made me laugh so much! They can do incredible things, I saw him leap off some stones on to a wall, then bounce along the wall like it was nothing, then squidge himself through a gap in the fence to my n'bours. Was just hoping their dog wasn't there, because he would faint he is nervous type lol

For those thinking wild weasels make good pets, they don't. You will be much better off with a ferret or if you must have something a bit more wild, a ferret/polecat mix but they can have problematic temperaments aka biting your hand down to the bone.

A ferret is a pole cat technically, but I agree weasels/stoats(which is what Ozzy is) dont make for good pets, at least that's what I have read. Very hard to tame and will bite the crap out of you.
