Beautiful scene 😍 Baby discovers the world. He is so cute and sweet.💕 I love his little whinny exploring his environment at 2 days old. His color seems similar to mamma's. Too early to say as it'll probably change again in the comings months. Mamma trusts you so much to let you handle her baby. You are right in saying not to let the baby sucks human's fingers Not to encourage people to play with him either as later he will not be allowed to do it. 😀 He will soon have a lot of strength and weight 🐎 lovely, thank you very much to let us share these rare moments🌷🌸☀️

That was so cute! Mom wanted a good roll but baby got confused and she immediately got up to comfort him. Trotting, cantering--it's unbelievable how quickly these little guys can move around so soon after birth. Thank you for sharing this journey with us.

@@VersatileHorsemanship It will strengthen the back legs and he will get up off his pasterns as well. And he won't appear as 'Hocky' . Where his hocks are so close together. Don't worry about him still sticking his tongue out as well. Some foals like to stick their tongues out and play with it. I noticed he still sticks it out. He's playing with it!! I have one foal from this year, who is now 3 wks old, and she's still sticking her tongue out and playing with it.

Awwww How sweet. I love seeing mumma and her beautiful baby. He legs will strengthen and straighten. Running around is the best way for them to straighten. Your indoor arena is ideal for this since your pastures are too wet. He got a fright when Nika rolled. Mumma came running when he called out. So sweet!

Enjoy watching the mom and baby? Absolutely! I've seen plenty of birth videos, but I love watching the moms with their little ones. I've never seen moms and babies beyond a week old. Baby & mom are so beautiful and perfect and mom is accepting her mother role perfectly. She is very attentive and when she was attempting to lay down, she startled her baby and when she heard her baby - she got right up to tend to his concerns. Good, good mom! I am happy she is getting this experience in her life time and is completely accepting of it (now that she knows the baby is hers, lol!) Right after the major experience of having given birth, she wasn't sure what that little one was, following her all over, lol! Thank you for uploading this video! I love the gentle rumbling mom does to communicate with her baby, and the baby rumbling back - nickering? I am reminded of your little guy calling it bickering, lol! That was cute!

I hope this little guys left rear leg straightens out. This is the first foal I've seen that seems to have his left hip out of alignment. I'm not sure that is what is actually going on since I'm not a vet but it doesn't look normal. He's a beautiful faol and can't wait to watch more of him! His momma is very calm with people being around him.

A friend of mine from Way back watched one of her mixed breed babies go from Very dark gray to the black and almost a ? brushed stainless steel gray version of a dappled 'buckskin' pattern by 11 months old. He was a great little guy who was sold to a small ranch in the Midwest, trained like a dream for just about any kind of livestock work and was kept as a stud! for all the best reasons.

I have watched this 3 times and every time I just shake my head and think poor Mama. No wonder she was so uncomfortable for the last 2 to 3 weeks. Those giraffe legs were probably kicking everything. He was more curious than frisky. Wish they would've taken outside so he could've has 1st time in a padock. He's *SO CUTE* . Momma is so attentive. ❤ how easily she took 2 her role as mom. I know it's rare but it's weird how some mares don't.

I don't know anything about horses, but I've loved watching your videos of the foal. Just wanted to throw out the idea of using the services of a horse chiropractor. We used chiropractic sevices for our children after taking hard falls and other issues. Might be useful as the little guy gets a bit older. Thank you so much for sharing!!

How on earth do you manage to get anything accomplished with so much adorable cuteness around?! (I’d do nothing but stand there listening to them talk all day, lol). LOVE that he came to you guys when he was startled by mum...that’s an awesome sign of what a great job you guys are doing ❤️ Amen to not allowing finger sucking...that’s a nasty habit and leads to so many issues, but it’s an easy trap to fall into. Don’t worry too much about those legs 😉
