I have a Jones Road story: I would never wear those products because I have oily mature skin, but my neighbor has super dry skin and decided that she wants to start wearing makeup and asked me to teach her how to apply it. I spent a week researching these products before going over to her house. She was TERRIFIED of looking like she was wearing makeup (which I found humorous since she wanted to start wearing makeup). Then I told her it's essentially colored skin care. BOOM! All of her fear disappeared and she dove right in and fell in love. In all honesty, it didn't do much to improve the appearance of her skin. She looked more hydrated, but all of her "flaws" were still highly visible, but she was happy, and that made me happy. She's an absolute precious human being and to see her so thrilled with her purchase made my heart feel full.

My mother didn't start wearing makeup (other than lipstick and Coty face powder,) until she was in her seventies. She always looked great, but her best friend told her she had "ruddy" skin instead of the "rose" she had when she was younger. It was so odd seeing her with makeup on. But, until she got quite ill, she kept that makeup!

I have something that I love like you love your quilt.... my mom's rings. She passed this valentine's day at 94 years young. I was also blessed to receive my dad's ring, he passed in 2011, and my moyhrt in law's wedding band. Now I carry them with me so that everyone can see. Although I miss them all, I truly look forward to our family reunion in heaven, and that's made possible by the sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Thanks for the reviews, Mary. So I made my father-in-law a quilt which had pictures of all of us on a family reunion. We did in 2022. He wept as we spent time together, saying these were the happiest days of his life. I gave it to him this Christmas and he loved it. He actually passed away on February 18 and so now the quilt is back in my possession. But, I just felt so happy that I could give him that sweet memory because what does an 85-year-old need? What do any of us need really? It’s all about relationships. Thank you for sharing your special quilt.

Trying to catch up on videos I missed because of my new work schedule. ❤ the quilt! My mom made the same type of quilt for both of my kids when they graduated from High School. It was made up of their sports jerseys and other Tshirts from over the years. This is such a wonderful way to celebrate someone! 😊

Ohhhhh Mary, I just want to hug you! That quilt is priceless. I wish I had known that was "a thing" when my dad died. I do have one of his Cabela thick flannels and his college lettermans jacket. He Died at 51 2/28/99 I have kept these items all this time. I know how special your quilt must be! I'm so happy that you have it!

Hi Mary, Happy Easter! He is Risen! Your quilt is beautiful. It made me tear up. It is a lovely way to honor your dad. I miss my dad. He passed away 33 years ago. I haven't tried the Miracle Balm because it looks greasy. I have long hair and don't want my hair sticking to my cheeks. A couple of favorites this month are: Estee Lauder Hi Lustre lipstick in Angel Lips (pretty peachy pink shade), and Clinique reformulated and re-packaged their Pop Lipsticks. Love the quilt. Such a good idea. I know a women those husband died and she made a quit for her daughter made out of his shirts. I purchased the jones road miracle balm and I tried it for awhile and I threw it away. I did like the color of the one I got but it was so sticky and greasy. I thought it would absorb into my skin some but it stayed greasy all day! I was always trying to keep my hair off my face cause of the grease!! Oh by the way my skin type is normal to dry! I definitely want to get the dr the gadget for the feet. Glad to get the info on that product!! Thank you!!!🤗

Happy Resurrection Day Mary! That was so beautiful about the quilt. You can always have him close to your heart ❤️. Thank you for talking about the Miracle Balm. I have very dry skin and I’ve tried 2 of the colors. The first was a big nothing. I complained to the company and they sent me pinched cheek at no cost nor did I have to return the original product. Trying to make it work but so far just meh. I’m loving the City Lights lid smoothing cream. I’ve been using for several months and I’ve noticed a renewed smooth texture on my eyelids! I also use the Beauty Pie lash fuel xl for 3 months and have definitely noticed new lash growth in length! Wow!! Love your channel and palette so much! Let us know about the pink Pat McGrath under eye setting powder if you happen to pick it up. Ive really been happy with the original as well as the NARS and Charlotte Tilbury. I’m 69 as a point of reference.

Was out of town, went to a The Guess Who Concert in Deadwood, SD & had Resurrection Sunday dinner w/Hub's mom, sister & her hubby & 2 family friends! We ate at the Buffalo Jump Diner [a great steak house]. They had a great buffet to celebrate. It snowed all the way home & got heavier the closer we got, but we really need the moisture! ❤

I wanted to try the Jones Road but saw that if you have oily skin it probably isn’t for you so that did it for me. But I think I can relate to what you said about how it feels in your skin. I have some of Josie Marian’s tinted argan oil sticks & have to powder it down. I have in & over the ear Beats & love them both. They are old - both are corded! But they still sound great & I don’t have to charge them! I ordered 3 GIVE Beauty eyeliners & love them! I got the dark brown for tightline, and a bronze & a purple for under eye! You have been correct to rave about them! I’m converted! 😂 And last, but not least….I tried your setting spray trip with the NYX under eye concealer today & loved it! Thanks for that gem! And really last - I love your quilt! What a special gift! ❤❤❤😘

Love the quilt! My favorite thing this month was a Wander Beauty lip oil in Skinny Dip I received from Ipsy. The few times I used it, it made my lips so soft and was a great color for me. Then it disappeared, so now I'm waiting for its replacement to show up in my mailbox. i'm still hoping the original one reappears so I end up with two lip oils.

Ahhh...Amish popcorn! I stock up on it when I'm in Ohio and can hit the Amish grocery store, but I get the red variety. I have an air popper that I used to use to make popcorn for my students when I was going to show them a movie, but I've always just sprinkled a bit of salt on it. Hubby the Droid is into the heavy-duty butter on the corn, but I can't taste the corn over the butter if I do that!

Jones Road has a learning curve. I did not like it at first but it isn't for people who like more coverage. I am both. Some days I like a lot and some days I don't. I do love there return policy. If you don't like it they send you what you do want and do not make you return it.

Well… I do not have the glass file either haha have never heard of it until know but I will definitely try that and the popcorn bowl! I am a popcorn girl too and use regular organic popcorn from Trader Joe’s but I tried the Amish one for a while. I liked their big pop kernels and bought their coconut oil to use but my new jam is making it with Avocado oil. I also put butter on mine, don’t think I’ll give that up but sometimes I don’t want to bring my pan out and wait through the process so I’ll definitely try your find! Much Love and hugs! ✝️💐

I keep seeing Jones Road everywhere but haven't tried that. I ordered the LE mascara, liner, skin tine and lip pencils and will tried them this week. The quilt is amazing. I really like the Jones Road bronzer, it is a cream bronzer but it’s a great formula, nothing like those blushes, even in the ads the blushes look Vaseline like. I agree with your thoughts on LE mascara, nice but too pricey. Have a great week, xoxo

Always love these videos. I learn so much. The can opener is a must have. From a spill I took years ago my right hand has nerve damage in the middle, ring, and pinkie fingers. My thumb and pointer fingers are the only ones that work fairly well. This can opener got me very excited. I was thrilled with the Jones Road info. I’ve been eyeing this line of cosmetics for a while and really wanted to try it out. Thankfully, with your input, I realized it would be a pass for me. Perfect timing as I could feel myself about to order. ❤ Both your bags are gorgeous. Classy and functional. The best thing was the homemade quilt. It pressed on my heart and made my throat ache with unshed tears. Those kinds of gifts cannot be bought. They come from a place of shared love and grief. I'm getting ready to leave for Korea in less than 3 weeks. Of course, I'll be shopping the local beauty stores there, so I don't need to bring much from home. I'll bring a couple of small things I don't want to buy in Korea, and probably some e.l.f. products I like, along with a tube of Vaseline Lotion Hand Sanitizer. Gonna pack light carry-ons and do most of my shopping toward the end of the trip. Will buy an extra piece of luggage to hold my trip-end goodies so I can check it for the flight home.

There have been bog changes in my life. So my stress has been high. You have helped sp much. I have been cleaning my house because i feel if i stop i will fall apart. I have noticed my hands are cramping up big time and stiff and hurting. I guess my hands as gotten me finally. Dam arthritis. On top of that o have disc Degenerative disease and that causes nerve pain

I remember when daddy was alive thinking if I hurt this much how much does he hurt and I asked him daddy don’t you hurt how do you get up and do all of the stuff? And you know what he told me? I never stop moving! I think you’ve got the right idea.

Happy Easter, I just bought that Mac Soar lip pencil. Oh no, I’m loving that Lisa Eldridge mascara, it makes me look like I have more lashes or it’s getting them that other mascara’s don’t get or clump with my longer ones. I still love my Lancôme Idole too. Oh a collapsible steamer, can you link it. The thing I bought that I disliked was 2 cream blushes from Moira, glad they were inexpensive and this was my first time trying a cream blush, just didn’t last long, color faded, I passed them to my daughter. 🐰🐣💕 oh Mary I was crying right with you, what a beautiful gift from your sister, close to your heart while eating your popcorn. Did she have someone make it? Brought me to tears thinking of my sister who will soon be 74, she has dementia/Alzheimer’s, she was diagnosed when she was 69. She loves Tweety Bird and when the time comes I would love to do that for myself and my niece and nephew with her T-shirts.🙏🏻🥲❤️

Ugh gave all the Jones road stuff I bought, balm, wtf foundation, eyeshadow, bronzer to my daughter who likes it. Not for me. Didn’t like my hair getting it stuck in it, didn’t like the feel on my skin. I have normal skin, dry due to using tretnoin. She had oily skin as a teenager, lots of acne but now that she is 45 it’s much better. And she is more of a no makeup girl at this point in her life. Thanks for the reviews. Be well

Hi Mary. I bought the Jones Road in Flushed and I just found it to be too greasy. And I have really dry skin! I'm not sure how anyone can use those products. Its too bad because I think the idea is great but they just don't work.
