Watching this homily crying 🥺, for I couldnt help myself that for so many years until present, I became a slave of my anger towards people who have wronged me. Thank you so much for the enlightenment Father Jerry. Thank you that thru you, the Holy spirit is speaking to us on how not to dwell on negativities but instead you are teaching us to have a renewned faith with the Lord Almighty. God alone heals and forgives and so with His children. Lord, it may not be easy but help me to have a humble and forgiving heart. Let alone your love and guidance shine upon us always, Amen 🙏🌻

“There are about 1.2 billion Hindus at this moment, therefore are polytheists. In Christian universe, no matter how good these people are, they are doomed. If you are praying to the monkey god, Hanuman, you are doomed. You'll be tortured in hell for eternity. Now, is there the slightest evidence for this? No, it just says so in Mark 9, Matthew 13 and Revelations 14. So, god created the cultural isolation of the Hindus, he engineered the circumstances of their death in ignorance of revelations and then he created the penalty for their ignorance which is an eternity of conscious torment and fire, on the other hand, a serial killer who spends his life raping and torturing children, need only come to god and jesus on death row, and after a final meal of fried chicken, he’s going to spend an eternity in heaven with jesus! One thing must be crystal clear to you, this vision of life has absolutely nothing to do with moral accountability! And if god is good and loving and just and kind, and he wanted to guide us morally with a book, why give us a book that supports slavery, why give us a book that admonishes us to kill people for imaginary crimes like witchcraft (Exodus 22:18: 'Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live)!!!!

When you were a Columnist in one of the prestigious Philippine newspapers ( was it the Manila Times?) I had a collection of your writings which were full of wisdom and inspiration. I usually quote some of your words when preparing a talk ( when invited as a speaker) to a group of teachers, religious group or retirees. Thank you Fr. Orbos for sharing us your ideas/ thoughts on so many things. Please continue to be our inspiration through your homilies and writings.
