Yesterday was a difficult day for me, my heart was hurt, I was so broken by a situation between my 2 sons, I usually go to 9am Mass, I thought of not going, but I decided to go to 10am Mass, then 10:30 am Mass and then 12 pm, I could'nt do it. I decided to go to 1 pm Spanish Mass and I laid all my problems at the altar and I now feel good. Both my 2 sons and I had lunch together and everything was fine. Please pray for me. I lost my husband 4 months ago. God bless you all.

Dear, Few things you can do. 1. Pray for your sons every day on your knees. 2. Help others who go through similar situations voluntarily 3. Give alms to people whom you feel like giving without prejudice Your problems will melt away. Always remember that your prayer will be heard on God's time. So be patient and wait for that time. God bless🎉

I was born a catholic, but I don't think I ever really believed and never thought I'd truly seek and find God. Lately I learned what "God works in mysterious ways" means as I'm going through a painful separation from my wife and this storm in my heart has led me to Jesus. He opened my eyes, removed the veil that kept me from really seeing and I understood that the failures, sorrows, hurt, the sense of feeling lost and most importantly having spent a lifetime sinning, were the direct result of being Godless for so long. Now I'm still struggling to build my faith, day after day an on-going battle trying to stay on the path that's pleasing to God, but now at least I see a glimmer of hope which I couldn't see before!

This resonated so much with me. In the summer I went to Montreal for a wedding, and had that same conscious pull the Sunday morning after to make the effort and go to Mass in an unfamiliar city and language, to my surprise, 2 of my cousins went also! I was sooo happy after being so afraid and forcing myself to go alone! Also this week, I went for Saturday vigil, for confession primarily, though I am nursing a bad toothache. I thought, just get to confession, and see how you feel for Sunday Mass. If tomorrow you are in too much pain, you don't have to go, and you're not technically breaking the rules. Well, after confession, and in a lot of pain, I thought to myself, yes, I am in pain, but not enough pain that I can't stay another hour for Saturday vigil. At least i know I can go now, and if I leave, I was being lazy and self serving. Not to mention being in a sure state of grace, and robbing myself of the opportunity to recieve the Eucharist! I mean it has happened before that I went to confession and only hours later ran so fast and willingly into mortal sin! I was also humbled yesterday when prior to going to church, I was helping an elderly friend empty his apartment as he's been just told by doctors that the disease he has will soon take its toll and he doesnt have much time left. I thought here I am complaining about my toothache, when this man has to wrap up, and say goodbye to his life and life's possessions. Thank you Fr. Mike for teaching and prompting such deep reflection. God bless you!

😊God's glory cannot be increased but it can be manifested. It can be shared. In that sense He needs the utmost glorification possible. In his tender love for the creature, he needs to manifest and share and as we grow in our knowledge of him, we need to manifest and share in a reciprocal relationship. (Book of Heaven)

Gabbling. 😂 Yeah, I take my two littles to Mass by myself four days a week, and with their father on Sundays. Even on the one morning I go completely by myself, I'm so accustomed to Mom-mode that I can't settle into deeper prayer like I could pre-kids. Years ago I offered that to Jesus: You know. This is what every atheist needs to hear. They always have this idea that our God needs worship. I wonder where they got that from. Perhaps some (the ones who detached from faith) had a bad experience with their church where the offering is forced and mandatory.

Father, you are committing heresy! The Great Amen is NOT when Christ saves us. It could be said that this Amen is when we publicly proclaim our belief, thanks, and praise for our salvation, but it is the Sacrifice itself that saves us. You are going to have to change your wording. I may not have any doctorate in theology, but I have studied and learned enough about the mass to know that what you are saying over and over again is simply wrong, and you are confusing your 139k subscribers. You really have to correct what you are saying. If I am wrong, please specifically site your Catholic source that states that the Amen is when Christ saves us and I will apologize.
@johnosumba19802 ай бұрын
What is heresy? What does the word amen mean? And what is greater our acceptance of God or God’s acceptance of us?
@theloverofwisdom66Ай бұрын
@@johnosumba1980 A heresy is a doctrine contradictory to a point of faith clearly defined by the Church. The Church teaches that the salvation is re-presented when the priest consecrates the bread and wine, not when the people say, "Amen." The Doxology or The Great Amen is the people saying that they believe this sacrifice has been re-presented and are giving praise that to this re-presentation. As to what is greater anything that God does must be greater since God is infinitely greater. That God even created us is something for which we should be thankful and then even accept us as his own. Relatively, for our part for us to accept God is greater than not to accept God's salvation, but that is in comparison to other people and not to God's acceptance of us.
@johnosumba1980Ай бұрын
@@theloverofwisdom66 so you acknowledge that God’s acceptance of us is greater than our acceptance of God, so the Fr. Is right on his statement.
@theloverofwisdom66Ай бұрын
@@johnosumba1980 No, Father is not right. When the priest is saying, "Through Him, . . .," he is NOT saying, " Father into your hands I commend my Spirit." If that is what the Church meant it to be, it would use those words just as the Church uses the words, "This is my Body - this is my Blood." These words, "Through Him, . . . " are an expression of gratitude and belief that Christ truly saved us.
