This is probably the best cover of the song. But the best version of the song I would say is the live version from Alchemy: Dire Straits live. Go and watch that version. Leo's band is called The Frog Leap Band.

The song was Dire Straits' debut single and reached #4 on the US charts in 1978. It wasn't until 1985 that Money for Nothing was able to top that with 1st place. I love the Dire Straits along with everything I've ever heard by Mark Knopfler. That is how I discovered this cover version, and Leo Moracchioli. I prefer this version of the song and listen to it far more than the Dire Straits version. I know I'm in the minority that feels that way. I know my opinion is blasphemy to Dire Straits fans. I would feel the same way if somebody told me this version is better and I didn't agree. The Dire Straits are great, they made this song and it's a classic. I think Mark Knopfler is a very underrated musician. Everybody has different tastes especially with music. Sometimes you hear something that you are already discounting beforehand, but it changes your mind. It hits you just the right way and you can't explain it, but it's what you like.
