I make my crawfish indoors because I have no boiler (and I can't afford one). I cant really be called a cajun because I live in North Texas. But I like crawfish.

Fellas why no sausage thrown in the mix? Always thought it was like a mandatory ingredient, anyways just curious. Everything looks deeeeelish. Thanks for the sweet potato tip, gots to try that next time.

Emilo C Wedig put it in. I guess we been doing so many boils every weekend that we just didn't have it that day. But we do. We are doing another crawfish boil video tomorrow. So it will up on site a couple days after.

Russ is there ratio for frog bone per pound when cooking. I did a boil the other day with shrimp extremely salty, so bad we had to throw the shrimp away.
@vandavidson30497 жыл бұрын
What happened to steaming the bugs? I was thinking that was going to be your preferred method of cooking. I've never done my own boil, but, I've been tasked to do one this Memorial Day. Just needing some clarification and/or help. Either way looks awesome - just sorta confused. Thanks!

Keg bucket lil water about 30 pounds of ice then put pot into the ice water and dont let water overflow into pot keep moving the ice water around and steer the pot constantly and the water temp to the pot will cool down quick it stops over cooking and it will help soak up the spice

Question? How many time should i have to reseason the water in a 70qt cooker if im cooking more than 1 sack? Thanks.
@FrogBoneCajunSauces6 жыл бұрын
clint watson on your 2nd sack I would add 1/2 of a bag more or you can add a full bag. It all depends on your flavor you want to go for
@jackieL12286 жыл бұрын
I’m making crawfish tomorrow and they don’t have this seasoning in stores, can I add all the other stuff you added with just the crawfish boil bag they sell in stores? What else would you recommend me adding with using those bags they sale in stores
@JohnDoeAintHere2 жыл бұрын
Very late reply but depending on your taste, I always go heavy on garlic, hot peppers, and lemons. The mushrooms and small red potatoes are literal flavor grenades. A good buddy has had good results with cucumbers and he's even thrown in eggs in the last minutes of good heat. He called them Devil Eyes haha!

Don't forget the BUTTER, it gives it a sweet buttery taste to it...For 1 sack use approx. 2 to 3 sticks according to your taste buds..
