It’s so crazy, when they are selling their stuff, I’m always like “So much junk!” And then as soon as you get it back to your house, I suddenly feel like “Wow so much cool stuff.” It’s the way you care for all of it, the way you talk about it, like you really value the joy and utility that “stuff” can bring to daily life and treat it accordingly

We should adopt what you do over in the US back in the UK have more Garage/Estate sales. Where you can go and purchase things that people want to get rid of , Yeah we have Car Boots and Jumbles but they can be hectic with people all around you ! . When people bring up Amazon / eBay prices it's annoying. If they are worried about that then you should suggest they sell it online and deal with customer service, seller fees, shipping and returns, etc. You are there with cash so they don't have to ship anything or pay any fees. 🤨

Ya and there is also added value to see a item in person as well. It is getting to the point where someday I believe items will be worth more to buy in person than buy online. I personally would rather buy in person. If it is absolutely something I need or want and it is selling for say $50 online plus shipping and sales tax and someone had it at a sale for $50 and mentioned ebay and how much they sell for. You bet I would pay the $50 at sale and get item "NOW"

every time someone tell me "they looked it up on Ebay", just pause for a moment and say "Well!!!! that's great because i am Ebay" most of the time all you will get, crickets, because most people have no idea how to comp something out...they just find one on the site and decide that their old coffee cup is worth 25 bucks because Ebay told them it is....my example(Father) told me "a 2 broom is a good deal if you need one, but a truck load of them is worthless if no one is buying them"

Warning on Poshmark, it isnt as simple as post and let it sit and sell like eBay. There are things you would need to do daily to get their algorithms going so people can "see" your listings. This can include following other closets, liking items in other closets, posting comments on other peoples listings, adding new items daily or if you dont have new items to add, then simply edit an existing item and save it. Highly recommend to research on Google on things you can do to improve sales. I have over 10,000 likes/recommends and over 10,000 people following and that even isnt consider a lot.
