Larry doesn’t seem to grasp what a legend he is. I hope one day he can see how beautiful these videos are. They captured him as an amazingly kind and confident teenager who was so wise at such a young age that he recognized the beauty in his community. He recognized the power of technology to showcase the beauty he saw in his community and the videos show his natural abilities as a leader and willingness to be a leader in his community and to be a guide in his community. He was an inspiration to those around him to be cheerful and active and free. I love all these videos that show the beautiful innocence and blossoming power of teenage boys who appear on the surface to be rebellious but are really just expressing their creativity and lust for life. Teenage boys are often misunderstood and do not get enough loving support in this world as they transition into manhood. Larry was that friend that embraced his status as a citizen at an early age and walked with a focus eye, a strong spine and spring in his step toward his future as a man. Rock on, Larry. You make us Metalheads proud 🙌⚡️🇺🇸

Sadly, two of them have passed (Rest In Peace Matt and John) and Paul was badly wounded during The a Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm. He lives far away and we haven’t communicated in 20 years. I am exactly the same age as Eric and Darrel and me and my cousin used to film stuff just like this 30 years ago but unfortunately I lost almost all the tape about 15 years ago but we thought we were the only ones doing it. It blows my mind that in 1989 and 799 miles away from Belleville, Michigan to Huntsville, Alabama you boys were living life EXACTLY how we were. THANK YOU ALL for posting these memories. The 80s were simply the greatest times of our lives and the proof is here for everyone to see.

Love this! Born & raised in Huntsville! Was a definite 80’s Metal Chick & thankfully have lived long enough to become a Metal MiMi! We loved Jay @ Sunburst! He was our internet! Those were the days man! Heard mention Skeletal Earth & Random Conflict-anyone here remember Bloody Rose? Headbangin’ concerts, partying like crazy, awesome cars, leather, spikes/studs, cut off t shirts, spandex 💋 AND all that HAIR! Love my metal! 🤘🏻🖤🤘🏻

I wish we could see "the scrapbook of Larry's life," and sorta look into his eyes in those photos of metal kid Larry as he realizes he's growing up & only has a few shots to be who he wants to be when he's "fully-grown Larry." We see our own journey somewhat in his.

Larry, as to you feeling embarrassed by the old footage of yourself, you may feel differently now and I hope you do! I came across this video randomly. I enjoyed it thoroughly because this was such an authentic representation of the many wonders and the magic of growing up 80s. I was also privileged to have grown up in such an wonderful time. Thank you for watching your contribution and live testament of an era that totally rocked. Thank all three of you for a wonderful trip back to the 80s.

Wow I literally just watched the original video and this was recommended to me to watch next. Larry’s hair as a teen was amazing! It was long and pretty damn perfect. I didn’t know any boys that had their hair like that back then so I know I would’ve had a crush on him,

Eric and Derrell, I feel like your content would translate really well to a live show. maybe a screening tour of some special footage and have a panel before or after. that would be so sick

Larry your teenage self was awesome! And that is why we are big fans of you. Do not be embarrassed or ashamed of your youthful self. Sure that may not be you anymore, but we can all agree that was an awesome metal kid. Be proud, own it, and say yep I was a cool teenager then!

These guys saved me this year!! This video is so great!! Thank you all and especially Larry for making this video!! You all are Fn’ Legends!!! Looking forward to a video walking through your old neighborhood and going the route you took! I hope Larry is a regular part of your channel! I don’t think I’ll be able to come to your show but looking forward to a well edited multi-cam video of it! Please come up with 500 different cups, T-shirts, DVD’s, stickers, posters, tapes and other merchandise with an option for signatures for the fans that can’t make it in person! Larry it’s time for the marketing skills! 😁.. You guys are such an inspiration, and as a musician and filmmaker myself I might do my own tribute video to you from rattle snake shake on my KZbin channel! Please keep the videos comings! Thank you guys!

Love this. How I wish my childhood friends and I did this back in the 70s. Their older brother had an 8mm camera and he was creating stop animation with his H.S. Band buddies using coke bottles marching on a field.. This is priceless. Great childhood guys,. Brings laughter, and tears.
