Luke Raley has had a great, but unique career, from debuting at age 26 to fully breaking out at age 29, with several trades back and forth between organizations along the way. How did he get to where he is now?

Most mariner youtube ppl are saying we have a hole at first base. Luke was one of our best players last year. I'm a huge fan

I do worry about his defense at first base, but he was absolutely one of Seattle’s best players last year. I think he’s preferably in left field but I wouldn’t be mad with him at first!

Mariners definitely need to have him in the lineup everyday in the 2025 season. Get Haniger out of the lineup, and have him as DH!

Even a slightly decent player (Justin Turner) to get at bats against lefties combined with Raley I think can make first base extremely productive from the Mariners next year

Raley’s number against lefties were really bad this year but I think the only way he’s going to get better against them is if you give him more pa’s against them. I get wanting to platoon him though

@ Yeah I mean personally I see no harm in getting JT to platoon but if Raley’s THE first baseman I have no complaints lol

I just think JT wants to hit everyday, which he deserves to be able to. He can still get on base more than most. If Seattle brings him back it’s probably to DH
