I love this song. And this is a brilliant cover, 10/10. Surprisingly realistic great drum sound coming from that Roland. I own an Alesis and have to use VST's
@DBeatDad3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The sound is my own tuning. I call it D-Beat Dad tuning. But the drums themselves are excellent sound. Love them!

Would love to see a Remains Of The Day drum cover. Love An Underlying Frequency and its one of the few records I have multiple records of.

Ride pattern goes toghether with the kick?
@DBeatDad4 жыл бұрын
Which part are you referring to?
@emmysorbicularis11854 жыл бұрын
@@DBeatDad at 1:55 . Im a bad drummer, this said, that part an others similar to that don't look like straight 16th notes to me. I might be wrong though and theyare such....
@DBeatDad4 жыл бұрын
I wish I could answer that. I'm self taught by just listening to music, I never learned how to read or know music notes. However to answer your question, the ride pattern and kick do not coincide at the same pattern. The kick is "D-Beat" but the ride pattern slows down a tiny bit. Hope that helps 😎
@emmysorbicularis11854 жыл бұрын
@@DBeatDad self taugh? You do it pretty well. Im self taugh aswell and youre bettet thAn me. Ive been playing for 10 years. Tnx 4 answer, helps. I tend to play the ride same to the hihat and thought your way might be less tiring. We play quite fast
@DBeatDad4 жыл бұрын
Yup! Been playing for about 15 years. Just listen to music like you see on the videos then just learn by ear. Yes it is tiring but what helped me is stretching before playing very well and doing D-Beat warm ups (I just call it that, haha.) Check out my IG I post other things there too, probably will post the warm up too so maybe it can help.
