Bless you. I was an agnostic and came to know Jesus by truths from the Bible. Here is some points that could help. Evidence of the truth of the Bible. I think that showing the prophecies that have been fulfilled is a great way to start. Here are some that were written hundreds of years before they were fulfilled: Isaiah 13:19-22; Ezekiel 26:3-5; Ezekiel 28:21-23; Isaiah 44:28, and 45:1; Daniel 8:20, 21, and Micah 5:2. Also the great image of Daniel in Daniel 2 predicted the major nations that have ruled the world. There are also a lot of archaeological evidences that have confirmed the truth of the Bible. The Moabite Stone discovered in 1868 at Dibon, Jordan confirmed Moabite attacks on Israel as recorded in 2 Kings 1 & 3. The Lachish Letters discovered 1932-1938, 24 miles north of Beersheba, described the attack of Nebuchadnezzar on Jerusalem in 586 BC. The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1948 and contain all or parts of the Old Testament books except the book of Esther. Cyrus' Cylinder records Cyrus' overthrow of Babylon and his subsequent deliverance of the Jewish captives. The Rosetta Stone discovered in 1799, in Egypt by Napoleon's scientists, was written in three languages--hieroglyphics, demotic, and Greek. It unlocked the mystery of understanding hieroglyphics. Understanding the ancient hieroglyphics has helped to confirm the authenticity of the Bible. Of course, the greatest evidence of the Bible's inspiration is evidenced in the Christ it reveals and the changes in those who study it (John 5:39, Acts 4:12, Matthew 11:26-28) 1 John 1:3 says, "That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ." It is a very simple thing that the disciples were doing--telling others what they have seen and heard concerning Jesus Christ. You have the ability to do the same. You have a special experience with the Lord that no one else has had and you can share that with others. 10 Science facts from the Bible. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmPWfn2DjamcfpY Atheist becomes a Seventh day Adventist. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZ2bYpJpoM-mmsk God be with you and yours.

Praise the Lord! Somehow I can relate to their testimony. When we gave our lives to the Lord, we still receive trials and we don't know what's His plan. After a while we will realize His plans are the best. It made me cry when Andrea said "when we are weak, the Lord is the strongest". At these times of trials, I'm becoming more closer to Him. If there are no trials in my life, maybe I'm still out there enjoying worldly things. Now I realized I can only find happiness with the Lord not from anywhere else.

The best piece of advice I can give you in this very important time is preach the 3 angels' message and the present truth. Prophesy is being fulfilled at a very fast pace now and people are starving for the word. They need to know where we are in the timeline of prophesy God has set for us. So much love and God bless you.

The three angel message is a false doctrine and Christ is our sabbath not a day of the week Sunday is not the sabbath it is the Lord's day I go to church Sunday like most people and there is no investigative judgement if there was we would all go to hell and salvation is by faith not by works Seventh day Adventism is by works no mater what you tell me do you will go to heaven such as your dietary laws is a requirement for salvation keep the sabbath none of this is true think about really read the bible see what it says and study the bible on Ellen g. Inspiring Testimony. From Geek to Jesus Freak... Sort of similar to my own testimony. Growing up in an Atheist household, and being a science-computer geek myself. There were questions never answered about creation from the University, but I pushed it aside and pushed on. It was only much later when challenged by Hugh Ross of Reasons to Believe (www.reasons.org) about science versus faith; that I revisited the issues. The Bible is scientifically accurate, but woefully misinterpreted - the Bible actually makes it clear that creation took almost an infinite amount of time, that the flood was local and not worldwide (mankind was all in the meso plane), and many other truths. Gave my life to Christ and a few years later God opened our eyes to new truths about state of the dead, Sabbath and prophecies - and we searched for some church teaching these; now we have been with the Seventh Day Adventist church for about 15 years. Amen!

One of the functions of the Sabbath, was actually to earmark the 6 day creation week. God knowing it would be hard to believe and prove (without a time machine to go back and watch it happen), would hand down this testimony at the end of every week. I think the 6 day creation was localized to Earth and not the entirety of the universe (not sure as to Sun which would be younger than earth according to Bible, but older as to trying to work out from its mass and fusion rate when it was all hydrogen)

The precious Lord is faithful to walk beside (and should be in front of) us all the way to glory. We only need to follow and obey. My word of fellowship with Him is "Trust and Obey". Because this phrase describes my relationship with Christ. These two words are inseparable. Obedience is truly impossible without first trusting. Jesus tells us that without faith, it is impossible to please our heavenly Father. Faith is the vehicle - the way that we accept the words of Christ and walk in his path. He has led us by his righteous example and we must trust him and then he empowers us to live the full life of His righteousness. That is the only way we can obey. This journey we walk is always about his beauty and love and his power to live by faith of victory in his loving righteousness. The secret is Christ's precious blood. Without that, we could never find the way to eternal life. I praise Him for his loving sacrifice and perfect righteousness. We must have both to make the journey possible.

This is an amazing testimony of the Holy Spirit's workings! Thank you for sharing. I really liked your point that Christ is a continuation of everything in the old testament. Every rite performed by the Jews, every lamb slain on the alter - these all pointed forward to one small Child who would deliver the whole world. This connection between the old and new testaments is something that many protestants seem to have lost. I would just like to comment on something you said at 5:28 , God does hold us to a standard of perfection. Matthew 5:48 "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Philippians 3:15 "Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you." James 1:4 "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." Of course, our righteousness is as filthy rags and can do nothing to save us. While God's standard is set at perfection, this perfection is reached through the purifying blood of Christ. Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" Also see Ephesians 2:8-9 However, our actions are a reflection of our beliefs so we must lean upon our Saviour to help us to accomplish the purity of character that will be displayed in the 144,000. (Rev. 14:1-5) We must be sensitive about downplaying the importance of works because (while they are not what saves us) God is not pleased with a bunch of people proclaiming to be Christians while they are happy to live in sin. Also, I have a question for you based upon what you said beginning at 26:49 where you talk about the big bag theory. Are you still a theistic evolutionist or was that something you held to during your transition period? Once again, thank you for sharing. I have been blessed.

+PHILL SHIVELY Hi Phill, thanks for taking the time to watch our testimony. I'm sure you'd agree that it takes a lot of faith to believe something without evidence; your comment, for example, lacks evidence to support it. You don't know me, and I doubt that you'd believe me, but I can assure you that throughout my childhood, I was strongly opposed to religion and attended perhaps a dozen masses in my lifetime prior to meeting my future wife. Furthermore, the Adventist church keeps meticulous records of membership globally, and I can promise you that my name, nor ANY of my family members' names, appear on any Adventist membership log prior to my baptism in 2004. Finally, though you probably won't believe me, my high school friends and teachers would all vouch for my general antagonism toward faith. So while I don't doubt that the exact same thing you described happens in churches from time to time, the testimony described in this video is true. I was once an atheist, but am not anymore.

Phill Shively, I don't fault you for your experience of disillusionment. It is well founded. The reality is that man is very error-prone and even the most ardent believer in God makes a lot of mistakes. NO ONE is perfect. And, to make matters even worse, there are millions who want only to be seen as a Christian for the sake of popularity or some other imagined personal success idea. Trust me when I say that there are many more unfaithful and false "Christians" than there are true. So, when people in the world see "Christians", they get the view of all of these persons I just described. And, you already know what that looks like. It is impossible to have the fake without having the genuine. Life is like a coin, it most definitely has two sides. It pays to study BOTH sides carefully. I think you get what I am saying.

josh sosa Hi Josh, your critiques are fair. The 2nd one was a bit of a generalization, and I can understand where an air of superiority would come across. My intention, while speaking to a SDA Christian congregation, however, wasn't to put down other faiths, but rather to show the audience how people of other faiths have a role in so many aspects of our lives. I wanted them to see that there are atheists who do know the Bible (in many cases, better than some Christians!), and also that God can work through Muslims or Hindus or whoever He chooses (and not just Christians, or especially SDAs). Thanks for watching, and your feedback.

1 John 3:7 Do not be deceived my little children for he who practices righteousness is righteous just as He is righteous Psalm 119:142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and Your Torah ( Law ) is truth Matthew 12:46-50 46 ¶ While Messiah Y’shua was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him. 47 Then one said to Him, "Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You." 48 But he replied to the man who told him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" 49 And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! 50 For whoever does the WILL of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." Psalm 40:8 I delight to do Your WILL my Elohim (God) Your Torah (Law) is within my heart Ezekiel 36:26-27 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. John 3:36 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. John 7:16 16 Y’shua therefore answered them, "My teaching (doctrine) is not mine, but his who sent me. Proverbs 4:2 I give you good doctrine don’t forsake My Torah John 14:23-24 23 Y’shua answered him, "If a man loves me, he will keep my Word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him. 24 He who doesn't love me doesn't keep my words. The Word which you hear isn't mine, but the Father's who sent me. 2 John 1:9-10 9 Whoever transgresses ( 1 John 3:4 Torah ) and doesn't remain in the teaching of Messiah, doesn't have Elohim (God). He who remains in the teaching, the same has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you, and doesn't bring this teaching, don't receive him into your house, and don't welcome him, 11 for he who welcomes him participates in his evil works. James 2:8-26 8If you truly accomplish the sovereign law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself,” you do well, 9but if you show partiality, you commit sin, being found guilty by the Torah as transgressors. 10For whoever shall guard all the Torah, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of Torah. 12So speak and so do as those who are to be judged by a Torah of freedom. 13For the judgment is without compassion to the one who has shown no compassion. And compassion boasts over judgment. 14My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has belief but does not have works? This belief is unable to save him. 15And if a brother or sister is naked and in need of daily food, 16but one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” but you do not give them the bodily needs, what use is it? 17So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead. 18But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works. 19You believe that Elohim is one. You do well. The demons also believe - and shudder! 20But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead? 21Was not Aḇraham our father declared right by works when he offered Yitsḥaq his son on the altar? 22Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected? 23And the Scripture was filled which says, “Aḇraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And he was called, “Elohim’s friend.” 24You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone. 25In the same way, was not Raḥaḇ the whore also declared right by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works.

Thomas, I don't understand why any atheist would cry over other people accepting the truth of God's love. They say they don't believe in the Creator or His purposes for mankind. What difference would other people's choices make to one who does not believe? Do you see the problem with your putting the idea of caring into the hearts of others who don't believe?

The Spirit of Prophecy dilemma. 1. Ellen White had the spirit of prophecy since 1844 (27 Beliefs-page 244) 2. The Spirit of Prophecy protects the church from doctrinal error (27 Beliefs-page 219) 3. It is a theological error to have anti-trinitarian beliefs 4. Ellen White permitted anti-trinitarian beliefs from 1844 to 1895 (Desire of the Ages published in 1895; the alleged Trinitarian book) 5. The Spirit of Prophecy failed to protect the church from doctrinal error; antitrinitarian belief from 1844 to 1895. (27 Beliefs-page 219) How can Ellen Whit have the Spirit of Prophecy and not fulfill the role of defending against doctrinal error?

We believe from the greater light which is Bible....Bible says it So we believe it. Ellen white writting are lesser light...to give details about the story, and meaning,to understand more which we difficulty to understand of symbolic, and hard to understand the words etc. Ellen white writting and her wisdom are from God. The books has not context of Bible letters are her wisdom but from God. Ellen white is a chosen one and a messenger of God. SDA never worship her.

There is this sense of religious arrogance round about doctrines that teach the body of Christ to follow rules, and engage in pagan lifestyles. I am terribly sorry that the prosperity gospel is a much loved theology among believers that ignore the message of the CROSS and deny the power of Gods' Grace.

Darling, You could have done much better than SDAism. You chose a cultic version of the Gospel. I know because I was reared in it. Wait until you feel the full weight of their White cement shoes. It took me 50 years to extricate myself and my family from the iron clutches of this cult, but it was worth the wait. The Christian walk does not have to be so hard and complicated. A distinguishing sign of the members of this cult is that they are never sure of their salvation. Or if they declare that they are, it is because they have deceived themselves by their righteousness by works, esp. those works and understandings set out by the cult’s founder Mrs Ellen Gould White R.I.P.

John Court .... Can i ask you a few questions ? If it's OK for me to ask i would love to hear back from you : ) (1) When you said " a cult version of the gospel" what did you mean by that exactly ? (2) Also what did you mean by " full weight of their cement shoes" and "iron clutches" (3) What was your churches name ? For me John i was raised in the Roman catholic church and after being in that church for 30 years i have never once felt the presence of the Lord .. Being in the catholic church we are not encouraged to read the bible, in fact it is the complete opposite we are discouraged from reading the word of God.. they say that we would not be able to understand it without a priest to help interpret it..(which is a lie) The first time i heard of the SDA church i was helping care for an aunt that had just been released from the hospital after suffering a stroke.. Well i was watching the idiot box when i came across the Three ABN channel and there was a man on there doing a bible study on Revelation, well this peaked my interest because in high school i asked my theology teacher who or what did those creatures in the book of Revelation mean or represent ... He said to me and i quote " no one or shall i say very few people can understand the book of Revelation" and here was this man on 3ABN telling me what those beasts represented, keep in mind this was before i started reading the bible .... And i understood everything that man said in the 30 minute program... Oh and let me say that i am not a member of the SDA church or any church right now I immediately said a heart felt prayer to God telling and thanking Him for that knowledge i received : ) As for Ellen White i was skeptical of her, for i heard of her while still reading the bible for the first time... But John Court as i was reading the bible and hearing things that Ellen White was talking about it .. All at once God's knowledge through His word hit me .... John if i may ask one more question of you; (4) How do we know that the bible is 100% truth ? Thank you for reading this.. God Bless you and yours John

Yes White is resting in peaces in the grave. I joined the SDA church 47 years ago. Never had iron clutches. So you beleive once saved always saved that you cannot lose your salvation by living in sin and hate? I have been reading books by Sister White for decades. Strict yes. But also encouraging. Like the Bible teaches. Love GOD love others.

@@samuelwilliams1559 Yeah but Ellen White doesn't say anything that differs from the word of God ...As far as once saved always saved.... Jesus said we must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God.. right ? Well if we are born again, that is if we believe that Jesus the Son of God became flesh, took upon Himself the sins of this world and was crucified for the remission of sin , and on the third day rose from the grave Then we will be reborn with the spirit of Christ, and there for will have no desire to sin or hate our fellow man... The law will be a delight to us : ) We will no longer be worried with the material things of this world... Earthly gain will be of no value to us... We will only care about spreading the gospel of Jesus and following His commandments ( not just the law but all He commanded us, helping the sick, love the fatherless and visit people locked in prison etc ) Jesus said "if you love Me , keep My commandments : ) Like i said i have only been reading the word for about two years, so that is what i understood from the word so far ..... God Bless Samuel Williams

Michael Taylor Hello my name is Lamarcus Thomas. I too am a Seventh day Adventist Christian and proud of it. Don't give up brother, stay true to God and always remember his Sabbath day to keep it holy, after all we will be keeping in the new earth. People are going to say bad things about the seventh day Adventist's teaching and faith, but little do they know that we are teaching what Jesus taught. The funny thing about the people who talk bad about us is the fact that, they think we are a false religion because we teach and obey the Ten Commandments. Because they think it is abolished, but anyone who has the holy spirit (the helper) living in them knows that is not what the holy spirit would say. No one who has the holy spirit can say "we no longer have to keep the ten commandments". They think obedience is legalism, but Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments, he didn't say keep my "commandment". He's clearly talking about the Ten. They think we are doing salvation by works but that's not the case. No one can enter heaven by keeping the law of course, but we do these things because we are saved and because we love the Lord. I know I'm walking that narrow path and I believe God lead me to his bride (his church) and this is the truth. I pray that you remain faithful as a seventh day Adventist christian a be convinced more and more that this is the truth and this where God want you to be and that you would die for it. God bless!😊

If you "have to" keep the commandments, that's legalism. If you "get to", it's not. Under the old covenant, people "have to" keep the commandments. Under he new covenant we "get to". Over the years, I have told many, many people that I rest on the seventh day of the week. Because of the methods I use and the language I use, people don't tell me I'm living under the old covenant. When a person is applying for a job, for example, there is a huge difference between saying, "I can't work on Friday nights and Saturdays" vs. saying, "I'm not available on Friday nights and Saturdays" (or better yet, Friday afternoons and Saturdays). Have you heard it said the the sabbath is "binding" upon Christians? Nothing could be farther from the truth. It is liberating! The sabbath isn't something I do. It is something the Lord does for me. A seventh-day sabbath keeping Christian (not an adventist) once asked a young man who had attended sabbath services, "Do you keep the sabbath?" The young man thought for a few moments and then replied, "Well, I never threw it away." That is what sabbath keeping is. It's not throwing away the gift the Lord has given you. Resting isn't doing. It is the opposite of doing. It is not doing. it's entering into his rest--a relationship based on what the Lord does, not based on what we do.
