These guys were so underrated and under appreciated at the time. They really paved the way for the post hardcore genre, with the screamer and cleans. Not many bands did it back then, Atreyu would be another, they suck now though they should just stop.

i think i like the loose harmonics intro on this better than the original. i like how from autumn to ashes is a metalcore band that plays in standard tuning. it makes the power chords sound so much tighter, so those palm muted parts in this song sound so much more brutal.

I always liked A Reflection of Anguish on a Face so Innocent better than Reflections. Doesn't have that pop punk part in the middle and has a heavier outcome. I'll never forget the first time I heard this album, it changed my life.

the clean part in the middle of the song sounds so much better in this video than the other more popular one. i like the dissonant outro of the other one better though. the outro is so much more intense. but i like how this video doesn't focus on or even show the dumb ass air karate kids too.

one thing that i've never been crazy about this song though is the cheesey pop punk part, which is of course when some of the best lyrics in the song have to said. "she said, "its not that i don't love you anymore. it would be so much more accurate to say i never loved you in the first place... never in the first place..." the love of my life said that to me, and it ripped my heart to shreds, and always will... i wish that was said over some slow-tempo minor scale single notes on a clean guitar.

Considering he's not a very fast drummer, comparatively speaking to other drummers out there. I don't like his drumming for the speed at all. It fits the music perfectly and that makes him good in my books.

Ok good, then after watching someone like him or Mike Portnoy, etc, how could you still say this guy is amazing? The only thing I'm trying to say is that I really don't think there is anything special about this guy. I watched this video and a few others and listened to just the drums and he didn't do anything at all that impressed me. He's exactly like any other drummer in this genre. He doesn't stand out at all, besides being able to sing while playing..and thats still not his actual playing
