What a fun and articulate person he is- loved this interview. I’ve been vegetarian for decades (for ethical reasons) and made the leap to vegan only a few years ago - wish I done so much earlier.

22 sets of twins tried both vegan and meat diets. Researchers at Stanford University studied the twins' cardiovascular health. After eight weeks following their respective diets, the twin siblings who ate a vegan diet had lost more weight, reduced their LDL, or "bad" cholesterol, and experienced lower insulin levels, according to the study's findings. "The findings from this trial suggest that a healthy plant-based diet offers a significant protective cardiometabolic advantage compared with a healthy omnivorous diet," the study's authors wrote. The study was published Nov. 30 in the journal JAMA Network Open.

Christopher seems like such a pleasant personality and has overcome so many challenges along his journey. I'm super excited you're airing this interview with him, Jeff! I've been looking forward to trying Unburger for about a month or so now, ever since you aired the interview with Huyen Tran Nguyen where she mentions it with high praise. I'll be making a point to make this happen soon. I can't wait to try some of his delicious looking dishes! Thanks again, Jeff!

I never saw someone this happy in life outside of me. People always look down upon it - but this is the level of happiness that's worth it in this world!!! This is what we need to see more of - what great energy. TBH - he reminds me of sheldon from big bang theory - because sheldon was always this happy outsmarting everyone - this person outsmarts everyone in a vegan sense. How great's that? He's even wearing the happy yellow color too! I love wearing bright colors - he's like the male version of myself - never thought I'd see someone laughing as much as me enjoying every funniness life brings to us!!!!

@@extropiantranshuman You might like the interview I did with the twins a few years ago. They were real perky like this as well. It's funny you should mention Big Bang Theory. I just started binge watching that a couple of weeks ago. I'm so addicted to it!

@@VeganLinked hmmm - I'm wondering which twins? Could you let me know which - so I can look it up? It's a super addicting show, but really for the first few seasons until they ran out of storyline to write about. I did like stephen hawking on the show though in the last episodes.

@@gantz0949 sorry, i dropped the ball there! It was a long run. I had just been on the road having driven about 15 hours to Kansas where I was for almost a week and then Iowa a couple of days, then Chicago a couple of days, before shooting this in Michigan having been there several days, and I had shot one earlier on the same day just before this. I remember him saying that vividly too and wondering about that. But I guess between running the cameras and what not I let it slip the mind. :p

There are scientific studies that link the microbiome to how our brains function. Different diets, such as the vegan diet versus the omnivorous diet, result in different microbiomes and types of bacteria. Perhaps it is wise for vegan activists to keep this in mind. From articles and my personal experience, I feel much better and clearer in the head since I went vegan. I am sure it has something to do with that. Every vegan feels this clarity in the brain and thinks more positively.💚
@VeganLinked
@VeganLinked 3 ай бұрын
@@markoszouganelis5755 indeed it is very fascinating the interplay between our microbiome and our overall health, even our brain. Like fermenting fiber in the colon into short chain fatty acids that trigger hunger signals and mood even. They are even beneficial and protective to colonocytes. 💚💪💚

13:24 I don't like kombucha for its alcohol. I prefer hop water - it's beer minus the booze. I'd rather see that on the menu. I've gotten beer places to sell it - it's so amazing!

@@extropiantranshuman But isn't the amount of alcohol in kombucha essentially negligible? I'm not sure if I have tried hop water. Sounds fun...
@extropiantranshuman
@extropiantranshuman 3 ай бұрын
@@VeganLinked it is fun. And you'd think it's negligible - but the issue is that they lie on the label - you might end up with a lot more than you realize - since kombucha's a scam for being a 'health food' due to the alcohol content. Even though on the label - they don't even list their alcohol content - some scientific studies found that they'd have up to 3% alcohol content. That's not small in my book. Even a sip of kombucha has made me ill - from the alcohol. Maybe it's negligible for you, but hey - speak for yourself - that little bit's too much for me - and makes me ill. Same with tepache - maybe you can handle it - but who knows - maybe you can't and don't realize it. As they say - there's no safe amount.

He’s great. Love this interview. In another note - My favorite thing I like to say is: I love human beings and I love animals and I don’t like to eat either one of them. I often get a laugh but I am sure the listener walks away with the idea of eating animals is similar to human cannibalism. 🫢😳
