It's great when you can put back into the business, and you your shoeless right hand man to help, and one of your cattle adding their assistance, lmao too funny! Have an amazing evening, and week 🙏🏽 Ramona

I believe so. I just know it was taking too long. So I changed it to a 1.25 inch PVC.

Have you looked into solar? We replaced all our wells with solar. Love em.
@PrideRanch2 ай бұрын
I have. It was too expensive. Who did you use?
@robertbruni35672 ай бұрын
@@PrideRanch In our case it was cheaper than replacing old rotted windmills. I got the idea of switching to solar after visiting ranches in Namibia. They all had switched to solar. As you, they were having to go out into the desert every few days and run generators to fill tanks. Yea they are steep in price. First gen ones were around $5500 if I recall but that was 6+ years ago. Last one we did was closer to $7000. Expensive but fairly maintenance free. We just leave ours on full time. Run them from the ground into a trough then through an overflow into a stock pond/lake. 12 gallons per min in full sun. We installed six solar wells over the years and have replaced one pump in 6 years, otherwise no issues.

@@robertbruni3567please send the name. The one I looked at was $25,000.00. It was just solar power to power up my water well.

Hey, I love the cows were observing the new area. It looked like a large sand box. I just have a question about the water. Is their a way to collect rain water in an extra drum ? You would have to change the design of the top maybe having it more open so, that the rain could get inside. Then making a sturdy knitted or welding something together so, that the will containe less debri inside. This could help with water supply or can it not? Just a question because I know there is a lake or pond there as well. Just trying to see what can also be helpful or an add on if possible? But, the question is for anyone as well as you. Even though it would get filled but, it would be extra water if needed.
@broderickpride9124Ай бұрын
You are correct!! In the event there is rain collecting rain water will help reduce the stress on my two water ponds. In 2022 and 2023 there wasn’t enough rain to collect. I still have two places I’m considering building wind breaks and collecting water off the two of those.
@michellesmith1521Ай бұрын
@@broderickpride9124 I just wondered because I do it for plants at work. I know it would take many days for the rain to fill the container up. Thanks for responding.
@PrideRanchАй бұрын
Yeah!! It would take a long time. I was nervous and desperate. The cows were drinking 1200 to 1500 gallons of water a day. I still want to try what you suggested. Really like you sharing ideas and other ideas. Keep it coming
