LT Overton, class of 2022 Texas A&M Aggie with Walter Nolen, Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy, Shemar Stewart, Anthony Lucas, etc. he actually reclassified from 2023 class into the 2022 class and still managed to get on the field as a true freshman. makes me feel like he has POTENTIAL for an extremely high ceiling while he's currently operating around his floor level. scary thought for offensive lines

Happy to finally get a heat check on Allar. I thought there was a few flashes with him last year at times between some of the very bad play. The flashes have been more consistent this year in my eyes, and the improved environment around him has seemed to be a help to him (even if it’s still not a great WR core). Gonna come down to the big games (esp. OSU) this year, but if he can keep this up, really think he will earn some proper draft consideration
@emilydaddona6329Күн бұрын
I guess you guys might be waiting on the Georgia-Texas game but I hope you guys talk about Carson Beck soon. I'm a Georgia fan so I have an emotional stake in this but I feel like Beck has been a good deal worse this year. I feel like he's been a lot less accurate throughout every game this year, and his off target percentage has been significantly higher this year. It feels like he's especially gotten worse accuracy-wise in the intermediate level of the field. I saw someone say he's got some mechanics issues with that but idk much about mechanics so I can't speak on that. I also feel like Beck's decision making has gotten worse though. He had this throw against Clemson where he was rolling to the right near the sideline and threw across his body towards a double covered receiver. He had a throw against Auburn where he threw to a double or triple covered Lawson Luckie and the throw was even overthrown and Luckie had to really contort himself to even get a hand on it. And this isn't even mentioning the Bama game and his multiple turnovers there. It kinda feels like he thinks he's gotta create more and do more impressive stuff to be a high draft pick but he's just proven he's not really that kind of guy. Am I just overreacting or is Beck's stock really going down?

@noahboa539220 сағат бұрын
I mean there’s not much to say besides it’s a crazy start to his season and he’s the current leader for Heisman. He’s generational. He’s better than Bijan was in college IMO. He’s on Saquon’s Level as an NFL prospect. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if he went top 5, or even top 3 in the draft next year with the QB class being a little lower.

i think we should evaluate QB's in context more often, and Drew Allar is interesting in his case because on one hand i think there's 9-10 draft eligible QBs, who are more natural arm talents than him but at the same i think there's certain guys historically, who we do a disservice to their arm strength by calling them Strong armed QB's, drews velocity itself is like a standout trait in this class and i would say it verges on being a Evaluation Transcendent special quality in the sense that he can dart that ball to fit fit in any window anywhere, he has a real gift for it and it's early he doesnt have many start he doesn't have a big amount of experience with it, yes there are better more well rounded players at his position. but there are also times when a dude like this so phenomenal at one thing (his bullet passing in this scenario) that when you also account for the HWS ratio being in his favor, and him being an elite physical specimen. it may allow him to be as effective as most prospects while he develops the rest of his game, i only say this because i'm of the mind that certain NFL teams, that rhyme with the name clients and science may potentially get tunnel vision about him as a franchise QB early day 1 of the draft regardless of where everyone else would rank him just because his traits fit a specific type of quota.

Question as you mention Abdul Carter as a potential top 20 guy: how do his two misdemeanor charges (marijuana and minor assault) play into that? Is that not a factor that we should be considering from a draft projection standpoint, or is that a mark of a good player that could fall?
@cjfreelff11 сағат бұрын
While Drew Allar has taken some steps, do you have any concern about the over 3 Second Time to Throw? My interpretation this year has been a bit different. He is going downfield, but the reason I still can't credit his going downfield and avoiding turnovers is that to me, it looks like he's just hanging on in the pocket whenever something isn't wide open and then taking a check 4 seconds in. Obviously there's some positive to that, but he has one of the highest TTTs for a non-mobile QB and he is extremely non-mobile. So any concern about the TTT or the fact that UCLA and WVU are a bit soft on defense?
