Read recently that Ganj e aam Place of commoners Ganj e khaas Place of Royals and army Ganj word is also seen in names of places like Daryaganj Pahadganj etc ( Delhi) A throwback to Tipu sultan era Ganjam Place during its heyday was bigger and richer business centre more important than the then newly developing future Bengaluru 7.50 Urgent need to enable and fortify Kannada as a language of Science Medicine Engineering ( as done successfully by Chinese Koreans etc) 11.40 An atmosphere to be created where it becomes useful and interactive for " outsiders" to learn and use at least working Kannada to get along in karnataka Innovate facilities methods must be adopted to make learning Kannada easy
