I quite enjoy this video-essay like format and would be keen to see you refine it. This also gives me a bit of a different perspective on this dude and his music, I still find it a little cringe and it has the potential to be very creepy/predatory depending on how the band actually acts but if it genuinely is just a dude having fun I'm happy for him. The music isn't really for me, however.

Man The Way Of The Fist is such a good metal album from front to back, it really is straight up metal, it is so complete, The Bleeding at least for me is one of them songs you hear coming on the radio, Spotify, album, that gives you “chills” For example So Cold Breaking Benjamin is one of them songs that is “chilling” you can hear them songs million times and I swear it’s the same feeling every damn time, Tool does this and even “better’ Muse , The way of the fist is in my top 10 at least 20 metal albums of them all.

Ok, I just want to preface this by stating that I'm not saying that the criticisms aren't valid. This isn't a great band and wont ever be considered a classic in the rock/metal genre. However, I don't understand really why bands like Steel Panther, Infant Annihilator and even BROJOB are well respected even though their music is just as much of a meme as this. Death To All But Metal is really cringe but fun if you take it in context. I dunno, it doesn't really matter I suppose. Edit: My mind was changed, it didn't take much. Also forgot to say that I liked the video Mr. Dickey these video essays on weird bands are always super cool, so thank you.

yeah exactly what Mask just said haha. The glaring difference is he is genuine in his artistic endeavors where as all the other acts listed are satirical by design. That’s what makes him such an interesting person is that he clearly thinks very highly of what he puts out artistically but at the same time parades as though he doesn’t care about what people think, so it creates a bizarre situation where this individual seems to lack the self awareness that what he is doing is silly at least to outsiders looking in. He takes the criticisms as haters and doesn’t seem to understand he is a fringe individual. At the end of the day it’s entertaining to peek into the life of an interesting individual. I just don't think I understood initially that you could be part of such a massively successful band (like them or not), make so much money, show the world your talent. Then fail so absolutely. Its just a shame to me cause there could have been something there and he fucked it.

I've listened to a few songs out of curiosity and they seem to range from overly simple/lazy songwriting where you can guess the next line 90% of the time to out and out wannabe edgy cringe. The comedian Jim Norton has a character called Chip Chipperson and the "edgy" lyrics sound like something he would come up with, but I don't think it's a joke in this case.
