So far I've only seen 2 with Jay. I really like him. Loved him in the repair shop.

The beautiful wood on the bureau was used masterfully and now it is a desk that will be used happily for years to come!

Always prefer Jay's shows, as he isn't so greedy about making huge profits for the people who were chucking the items away. The 3 transformations were really nice = thank you for uploading

Beautiful transformations! Really features the skills and talents of the artisans working with items not of their own choosing - not an easy thing to do!

That chair was so awful when it came in, but he created a real work of art. The fabric was beautiful.

Just HATE the new desk. The old desk was beautiful. I would have used it the easy it was after repairs & redoing the finish. The man whose desk it was clearly loved his wife & her desk.

I hope they keep all the small original pieces they don't use like the handles frm the old desk??? Those are actually quite valuable ....

You don't get invited in--- the home owner comes outside to deal with a person? Seems very odd to me! If someones comes go visit me I naturally envite them into my house to speak with him. Esp if they are bringing me money!

You don't know they weren't invited in before filming began. That's an assumption on your part. Also, if you're paying attention, some talk about how they would use the money in past tense, "I thought I would donate to, or do this, etc.," which means they already knew about the profit.

Jay is an excellent presenter, no nonsense and getting the best price for the improvement projects. However, as a craftman he's not the best... his own transformations are lackluster in my opinion, lacking in beauty and inspiration. I normally like Norman's work but this time he ruined the beautiful desk. It could have been easily repaired and refinished.
