They’ve also experimented with this sound a lot in the past, but I definitely thought the same thing in regards to sounding like BMTH, but I like both bands and stoked they finally released a new song, so not mad

I also want to point out that FFTL was heavily experimenting with electronic stuff during the heroine era in 2006 well before BMTH had gone in the electronic route. Also their 2009 album throne to the wolves had a lot of electronic sounds in it. They definitely aren’t copying BMTH I can see the similarities but FFTL we’re experimenting with this stuff 20 years ago already.

Other thing to note too is Matt Good helps produce alot of music for other bands. Bands like Asking Alexandria which have a similar sound. I’m thinking it’s just from his experience working with modern bands. Makes sense to change it up with the current sound that’s out there.

The sound we should of had after 'heroine' i get people comparing it to bmth or whoever but... this still has all the hallmarks of their songwriting/structure, if you get all anal and break it all down... glad to have these boys still knocking around and doing whatever they want regardless of whats going on in the (sad) world of music today

@@Lorne1218 i feel ya. They were one of my first live shows i saw. It was atreyu headlining. With every time i die, chiodos and fftl. After that i saw them every chance i could up until thrones album by then i could catch them that much but got to see the heroine, dear diary, self tirled tour cycles and they were so much fun

Dude I loved Throne to the Wolves. I like this one, however, it sounds too much like BMTH. I know they have used synths in the past, but it´s not that big of a punch as it should´ve been.

@@diazable It´s one of those albums that marked me. I loved fftl and when it came out it sounded so different from what I was used to listen from them that I downloaded the songs to my MP4 player and listened it like a thousand times. "Now that you´re gone" is my fav.

I feel the same as you. Super confused on what they were thinking with this one. I LOVE BMTH, and kind of dig this sound, but this song is so fucking messy. Like they are trying way too much at one time. I'm a big fan of Throne to the Wolves. I don't think they ever needed to try and follow other bands because they were doing so well with their own brand of post-punk. Also, is Sonny actually on this song? It really doesn't sound like his vocals.
