Two roads, split off from here, And my life goes running in opposite directions. Exaggerating the barrier between who I am, and who I want to be. I wanted to be that breath of fresh air, When everything smelled so insincere. But this taste still lingers in my mouth, Deceit has ways of sticking around. And I'm ready to disappear, Vacation seems far...From here. Note to self: I miss you terribly. This is what, we call a tragedy. Come back to me, Come back to me, To me. Note to self: I miss you terribly. This is what, we call a tragedy. Come back to me, back to me, to me. I can feel my mind, wandering again. Into where I don't know, and will I ever get home? Time starts moving, faster than I can. And I'm sick of this scene, I need to break the routine. I can feel my mind, wandering again. Into where I don't know, and will I ever get home? Time starts moving, faster than I can. And I'm sick of this scene, I need to break the routine. Two roads, split off from here, And my life goes running in opposite directions. Exaggerating the barrier between who I am, and who I want to be. Which part of me is lost? I feel so close, and yet I am so far. Which part of me is lost? I feel so close, and yet I am so, far!

@NoNamedNobody6928 жыл бұрын
Man, this band was something else back in the day. Sonny was only just a teenager and had a pretty impressive range at that. Derek on the drums, good god the drums...man was a beast. Travis as their screamer and Matt as their backing vocalist/guitarist. Good stuff right here. You can tell these guys were intensely influenced by the Emo bands of the 90s (Get Up Kids, Sunny Day Real Estate, Mineral) and the later wave of Post Hardcore bands of the the late 90s (Promise Ring, Jawbreaker, etc). The Post Hardcore run from 2002-2008/9 was definitely a wonderful time for the underground hardcore scene of music.

The lineup of this band was pretty stacked, regarding what they'd go on to do later. I mean there's Sonny with Skrillex but you also have Travis Richter here in this lineup on rhythm guitar and screamed and backing vocals who went on to front the band the Human Abstract for their album Digital Veil, which is actually my favorite album of theirs. The other members are also still musically relevant too, although I can't remember exactly in exactly what bands at the moment. Pretty sure the other guitarist is involved in a band with the singer of Chiodos in another project.
@taylorbivens85469 жыл бұрын
lol What wasn't English enough to understand there? I simply said all members of this lineup are still musically relevant. Sonny became Skrillex. Richter went to front the Human Abstract, and the other two members went on to do stuff too. Like I said, I can't remember what exactly without looking it up, but I'm pretty sure the other guitarist is involved with the singer of Chiodos in a side project.

Sonny has an amazing singing voice he should use it more often! I love skrillex so much but when I listen to from first to last, it just hits, so emo and amazing, very nostalgic from times that we may never get back.

First time I saw this band was in Oklahoma City. I went to our small local punk club one very random week night just out of boredom. When I arrived I met an acquaintance from high school who told me that All American Rejects were headlining, but under a secret name (they did). I was like, "cool man..." Anyway, there were two opening bands that were touring together who were there that night. The first band was called Saosin and they had this singer with a crazy high pitched voice. I think he sang for another band later called Circa Survive. They had only an ep for sell, so I figured they were pretty new. The next band was called From First to Last and they were good as well. They had a different lead singer though and only one ep for sell as well. So yeah, I know all about these bands. I was really into the scene back then. I think this all happened in 2003. Anthony Green left Saosin shortly after and I think FFTL signed with Epitaph and dropped the lead singer they had then then got Sonny. Long time ago man...
