The healthier he is, the more he can enjoy his career. It sounds like a pretty active job though, but eating a more nutritious diet will help him no matter how he weighs or looks. Living a healthy lifestyle can also allow him to explore more cuisines and could very well transform his relationship with food, and thus his cooking as well.

My hat goes off to him. Achieving his dream and reaching for that star, amazing especially given his origin story. I hope more comes his way as he truly deserves it. As for the weight comments. Although it is not to be the focus I do back the honest care some have expressed. In order for him to exploit his full potential, I hope he looks after himself. People say this man is overweight, but due to stressfull times in the kitchen and his personal life perhaps, it can be quite off-guard putting and exhausting for him just to eat "normally". If you have to think of sooo many things and processes what is up there, most people are way too lazy to stay there in this hihg pressure stressfull environment where is working there perhaps everyday. Maybe he tries to make the best of it and compensates that by eating perhaps "unhealthy" food which doesn't stack up over one year, his eating habits started waaaay before that one year. And I hope he has good people around him to say to him that he needs to go to the gym or do more running sometimes. Bless him for his talent and the wisdom he shares.
