True story - I was taking classes at NYU and I would go eat at his cart before class. One time I went and I only had a big bill. Right before I was about to ask him if it's cool with him to break it, he said, "Hey man if you don't have the cash today, just pay me tomorrow." This dude's the man. AND his food's legit.

Well, if you're a regular like you implied I don't find this impressive or fascinating. I mean, still a cool dude, but most people will give this kind of service to a regular. I used to get all sort of stuff when I didn't had the money and paid days later just because I was a regular.

A great human being. My wife and I waited over an hour. It was well worth it. He talked to my wife. And during the conversation she mentioned her father died. nothing is permanent, if you are born poor it is not permanent. you can become successful and happy in the future. if he is subjected to the statement "you should be happy with what you've got" what is the point of leaving Sri Lanka and came all the way to NYS? he should have been satisfied with what he has in Sri Lanka itself!. never ever compromise with what you got. strive for what you want and what you can get. the capability you have to achieve something is the thing you got "you should be happy with what you've got". don't underestimate your capabilities and also never try to achieve something which isn't your peace of cake.

Even this bad phase which you’re going through is not permanent. Everything will fall in place soon. Try to be calm. Do what you like. Ignore the negativity. Speak with people around you about your issue. Open up to them. Seek for help. Try meditation. Engage in spiritual activities. Keep your mind in peace. Drink more water when you get angry. Spend time with your family, friends and loved ones. You just need to have some more patience dude, you can cross this bad phase of your life. Believe that Everything will be alright soon. I really think americans MUST stick their head out of the sand. You're so into that ultra capitalist bs, the individualism and know so little about the actual world; that genuinely scares me. The strong majority of people who's from a third world or developing country (me included) will NEVER make you feel guilty for something like that. If I have two dollars in my pocket and you need one, I'm gonna give it you regardless and I'll never bring that up or ask you for something back. I'm Albanian and in the last 30 years we went through the fall of the regime, civil wars, the genocide of Albanians in Kosovo and a state scam. My parents were almost killed by human traffickers trying to go from Greece to Italy, they still taught me how to treat people with respect and dignity no matter what.

As a Southern Indian, I can definitely attest that this man's dosas are the healthiest variants of regular dosas that we eat in Southern India. I've seen people from Northern India kill the healthy dosa by adding butter, cheese and other unhealthy food ingredients. This Sri Lankan man's dosas have taken the healthiness of dosas a step further.

If you knew how many chemicals that they use on potatoes in the USA I would say you need less, or even better none. 'According to the USDA's Pesticide Data Program, 35 different pesticides have been found on conventional potatoes. The chemical that is found on 76% of all conventional potatoes is chlorpropham, an herbicide that is used to stop the growth of weeds and to inhibit potato sprouting.'
