Another winner! This was truly one of her finest performances. Karen was equally fierce, vulnerable and deeply wounded. My favorite scene is after the kissing in the surf and he was questioning her about the number of men she'd been with. Watch her eyes when she tells him about her husband's neglect resulting in the loss of their baby boy and her fertility. OMG! It is so powerful because you can almost tell that she was all cried out over it and slept around to fill the deep void.Great job!

This video was so beautiful, and it perfectly captures the emotions of Karen Holmes! I recently rewatched From Here To Eternity after having not watched it in a little while. I typically don’t care for war dramas, but I was surprised how much I liked this one. All the characters were three-dimensional with their own personalities, and Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr had such great chemistry! This role was a lot different than the other roles I’ve seen of Deborah Kerr (The King and I, An Affair to Remember), but she gave a magnificent and emotional performance!

What a beautiful tribute !! I love Deborah Kerr, I think my favorite performance of her is Hannah Elkes in The Night of the Iguana, but she is just as incredible in From Here to Eternity.
