By the age of 13, Sarah and her family were homeless. She eventually dropped out of high school and had two children. It was very difficult to find a job, so Sarah started completing her education and eventually enrolled at UoPeople to get her MBA. Sarah went from being homeless to landing a job at Amazon!

OMG, I just signed up for a Bsc in Computer Science with the UoPeople because I saw Nad's video on facebook. I'm currently finishing a Masters in Linguistics and I'm currently working as a literacy specialist for children with special needs. After working in the special needs field for a while, I've come to the realisation that, even though we are a smart nation, there's still so much room for technological improvement in the areas of special needs / learning difficulties. That was the driving force behind my interest in Computer science. However, the tuition-fee at my local university is so ridiculously expensive that if I were to go back to pursue another degree, I'll have to take out a student loan and resort to eating ramen noodles as my staple meal for 8 years! I was about to sign up and pay for that university course when I saw an ad on facebook about UoPeople. After looking at the curriculum I was absolutely sure that this was the right course for me. I can't imagine paying hundred of thousands of dollars to pursue a STEM degree. Thank you UoPeople!!! I can't wait to start my journey with you!

Thank you very much for signing up Jo! We are thrilled you got to know about us via the video from Nas. We appreciate the work you are doing for children with special needs and we look forward to seeing how our Computer Science program will help you bring some technological improvement to the area of special needs/learning difficulties. We look forward to seeing you in the program. Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

The thing is....Amazon warehouse only requires a high school education, so it makes no sense why she needed a masters to work there...if she was management, maybe a bachelor but really, a master's is not necessary.

This story is so inspiring. When I finished high school and planned to join a university here, the fees were too high. One day I saw this amazing UoPeople ad on youtube which says the tuition-free and online accredited university. And now I am a student at UoPeople and I'm working on getting my Bachelor Degree in Community and public health. Now, I need to pay only for exams which is affordable and very happy to be here which changed my life.

There is an assessment fee of $100 or $200, to be paid by the end of each course. If there were 7 courses per semester, it means $700 or $1.400 right ?
@uopeople
@uopeople 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking Ca Reer. We charge a one-time $60 application fee and $100 course assessment fee per course for our undergraduate program or $200 course assessment fee per course for our graduate program. Keep in mind that you will only be allowed to take a maximum of 4 courses per term if you meet specific GPA requirements; as such if you are an undergraduate student you will pay $400 at the end of each term if you take 4 courses per term. Each term lasts for 8 to 9 weeks.

She's an area manager delivery operations at Amazon. According to Glassdoor, this job makes $68k per year, more than most accountants in the US. Everyone decides where to work, and one of the things I love about UoPeople is that they show people as they are, and don't try to sell you success like most universities. UoPeople tells you that it takes hard work, trust me, as a current student, I tell you classes ain't easy. Takes a lot of work to get an A. Also, while other universities began adapting to online education, UoPeople is way ahead of them.

@@uopeople Amazon warehouse supervisors make under 50k a year. That kind of salary for an MBA is ridiculous.

@@arman6954 I don’t have a job now in my country because of Covid, at least she has a job and she seems happy. She will probably get promoted. Be always thankful.

Sorry but the story doesn't really follow what you are saying. She has always been working since getting her degree from the university of Phoenix and landed a job at Amazon two years ago but we are not sure if it was because of her degree with you. Unfortunately this degree will never have the same weight of a degree from a reputable university.
