From Humble Beginnings to the World Stage | Maurio McCoy True Grit

From humble beginnings all the way to the world stage, this True Grit features Maurio McCoy. Last year we made our way out to the east coast to spend time with Maurio and his family in his hometown of Reading Pennsylvania.
Located about half way between Philadephia and Harrisburg, the states capital, Reading is the site of the now defunct Reading Railroad, the same one that you may have purchased in your most recent game of Monopoly. Over the course of the cities history it has seen good days and bad but there I no question that to make it out it takes perseverance. How can you not like Maurio and Jake as humble as can be while being as gnarly as can be I can’t imagine how they feel losing Henry when they shed blood sweat and tears with him getting to that point but they’ll keep ripping for him shout out Maurio and Jake and the rest of Santa Cruz this is what 4 wheels and a plank of wood can do!

Though I've never met Maurio, I'm friends with and play volleyball with his brother. I've met his father a few times and their uncle as well, and I can genuinely say...they are some of the ABSOLUTE nicest/friendliest people I have ever met! I can imagine he would also be as kind and humble as they are, and that's a World Class athlete in my opinion.

The homie can skate for sure. But I hate how skaters forget about what made them great. Ishod and Tom asta wouldn’t be who they are if it wasn’t for Blackdiamond/xpark. I remember Mario skating in the advanced and sponsored division in philly am....!but he was so good! (As well as Matt militino).... all in all to get to the point. Skate park for sooooo long you’ll be a adaptive to any skating terrien.
