One of the most memorable moments of SinghsCamp was when our brother Joga Singh got up infront of 300 guys and said: If someone like me who was born into a Muslim family is prepared to give up everything for Sikhi, what excuse do any of my brothers born into Sikhi have? #Powerful

I’ve said this about others but this Singh is the most blessed of us all. Most of us are born into a Sikh family so have Sikhi from birth. This Singh has been called to Sikhi by WaheGuru themselves. When he was low and looking for the answers, WaheGuru called him. Pure Kirpa and just reaffirms my faith in the One.

its true but i think being born in sikh family doesnt make you a sikh truly unless you follow gurus teachings. Many who are born do not follow gurus. A sikh is anyone who learns or "sikh" from guru

I also went through this transition, grew up in a strict Pakistani Sunni family, the faith was forced on me. I felt I always agreed more with what Sikhism taught, its more practical. I converted 2022 to Sikhism. I respect all faiths and people, but Sikhi was the right path for me. Waheguru bless you. Thank you to the sangat in Vancouver BC for helping me get on the right path.

There are over 2000 references in Sunni & Shia texts that there were 17"000 verses in the original Quran as Adnan Rashid explained in one of his video talks, too, but today's Quran has only 6"000 verses. Where's the other 11"000 verses? This means the Quran is incomplete. There's a Raabi on KZbin admitting & explaining why reincarnation was hidden in the Torah. I believe reincarnation was mentioned in the other 11"000 verses. Otherwise, how do you explain Muslims remembering their past lives in Islamic countries??? Allah sent Guru Nanak ji to complete the task & remind you people of him! Read Taajudins Diary, which you can download for free online. Just Google it. Taajudin Nakshabandi accompanied Guru Nanak ji to the Middle East for 2 years and saw the Kaaba move besides other miracles attributed to Guru Nanak ji. It was compiled by an X Muslim Nawab of Mirpur, then part of India! Sahih Muslim 146 It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Umar ('Abdullah b. 'Umar) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed: Verily Islam started as something strange and it would again revert (to its old position) of being strange just as it started, and it would recede between the two mosques just as the serpent crawls back into its hole.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ 🙏 What an amazing and beautiful podcast. Thank you to Bhai Joga Singh and BoS TV for recording this and sharing. The way Bhai Joga Singh articulated himself and responded to the common questions that Sikhs (especially in the UK) face from Muslims was brilliant. Bhai Joga Singh has lived up to that of a Gursikh with Sant Sipahi fortitude. The beautiful balance of responding to those questions in a calm, loving and compassionate way while remaining firm and resolute with his faith in Sikhi resembles that of the saint soldier attitude of a Khalsa - in a way that I imagine our Gurus and Shaheeds must have responded to the likes of the Mughals and Afghans. In the same way that a fundraiser was done to get Bhai Supreet Singh as a full time member of the BoS team, (if Bhai Joga Singh is open to and willing), it would be great to see Bhai Joga Singh as part of the team (full time or even part time depending on what he feels is best) Several years ago, Bibi Sharanjit Kaur recorded the 52 Hukams series and then Bhai Sukhdeep Singh made a sequel and continuation of that series. Bhai Jagraj Singh recorded the anti-conversion series. If possible, (in a similar manner to how Bhai Sukhdeep Singh did with the 52 Hukams series) Bhai Joga Singh could make a sequel/continuation to this. It would be great to see more of Bhai Joga Singh. May Vaheguru bless Bhai Joga Singh and BoS team keeping you all in Chardi Kala 🙏💙 (also please protect Bhai Joga Singh and Bibi Haneet Kaur and keep them close; there may be some Islamists in the UK who look to harm or trouble him and his wife)

I know barely anything about our SIkh culture, but at the age of 44, I'm trying to start the process. I'm not one of those people who believes ONE way is the ONLY way or the "right" way, I'm not convinced that God says, if you do this and if you do that, then only you will have contact with me...I'm not amritdhari, but I've had many beautiful visions of what I think is God's light. I'm a good person, and I don't think God wants us to compete with each other, just do what works for you, connect, stay humble, be kind, give when you can, help others, etc.

it is beautiful journey. I am not amritdhari as well but i know goal should be for every sikh to be Khalsa someday when you are called. For me a sikh is who follows gurus teachings not just born and Guru Gobind Singh ji made khalsa a next step or completion of sikhi. All sikhs around Guru Gobind singh ji were khalsa or preparing to be one. And if I dont think as a sikh I should be khalsa one day then am I following Guru Gobind singh ji teaching and if not following my Gurus teachings then how can i be sikh of Guru. I am at learning stage of sikhi right now, and khalsa will be beginning of true spirtual journey.

Despite Mughal-Sikh conflicts, inclusion of Muslim poets in Guru Granth Sahib Ji is proof of close ties. The two communities seemed to have many historical bonds. Baba Farid was a Sufi Saint, Sufism is contemplative school of Islam that aims to develop an individual's consciousness of God though chanting, recitation of litanies, music and physical movement that are considered haram or against Islamic teachings. Practitioners belong to different tariqa, or orders, that are described as "sober" - restrained in religious practice - or "drunk," open to achieving religious ecstasy. For Sufis, what's important is approaching the inner meaning of God through mysticism. They try to reach an understanding of the hidden meanings of the world. They tend to be less wedded to an orthodox reading of the Quran. As a consequence, they have an open relationship with other religions. Sufis avoid politics because it complicates their ability to contemplate God, They see themselves as transcending labels, so the Sunni-[Shiite] thing is ... irrelevant. During one of his several journeys around India and beyond, Guru Nanak, accompanied by his Muslim friend Bhai Mardana, ended up in Pakpattan (today in Pakistan’s Punjab province). Here, he met the spiritual descendant of a Sufi Saint Baba Farid, Sheikh Ibrahim, who also served as the guardian of the shrine. Through his conversations with Sheikh Ibrahim, Nanak was introduced to the works of Baba Farid, who was believed to be the first classical poet in the Punjabi language. In keeping with tradition, Sheikh Ibrahim presented Sufi saint Baba Farid’s writings to Guru Nanak at the top of this mound. The Sufi Saint’s poetry had a huge influence over Guru Nanak, who used several symbols similar to those espoused by Baba Farid. In the Punjabi literary tradition, Guru Nanak is believed to be the second classical poet. It is through Guru Nanak that the poetry of Baba Farid found its way into the Guru Granth Sahib the living text of the Sikhs, considered the eternal, living Sikh Guru. Today the Sikh holy text is the only written source of Baba Farid’s poetry. Perhaps much like other vernacular traditions, the poetry of Baba Farid did not need the vehicle of written word to survive - it would have been transferred from one generation in the form of oral history. But after travelling down, say, seven generations, the poetry may have started to fade from memory, some of its words forgotten and new ones added. But through Guru Nanak and Guru Arjan and Guru Gobind Singh, Baba Farid found a permanent place in the world of the written word. But Guru Granth Sahib is much more than just literature. Each word of the Granth is considered divine. While compiling the Guru Granth Sahib, Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh guru, said that the Shabd (the word) would be his successor. The letters in the book would no longer form secular words to be instilled with meaning through human interpretation, but would be divine themselves. Their mere utterance would provide meaning to human existence. The words of Baba Farid, when entered in the Granth Sahib, ceased to be poetry and became one with divinity. This was the highest status anyone could have been bestowed in the Sikh tradition, and this prestige was given to a Muslim saint.

As a Muslim don't you know feeding the hungry is valued very highly in Islam? After Ramadan, before the Eed prayer fitra is to be given to the poor so that they may also be able to enjoy Eed.Annual zakat has to be spent on the needy and that money can be spent on feeding the poor.Apart from that you can give sadaqa in the form of food .Feeding the poor is such a humane act,I think it is valued in every religion.

Is that the reason you need to carry a dagger ? 🗡️ No religion has commanded to carry a weapon. Even in islam which is seen as violent it is not permitted to carry a weapon unless in war or there is a time where you are at risk. I've studied Sikhism ...it's a cult that's barely expanded pass the borders of Punjab . Let alone the borders of India....let alone a world religion. Most Sikhs do not practice the religion it's been abandoned and does not have any core principles which would keep people tied to the faith .....it's time for a new guru to come and revive it. The fairytales have died out....such a new religion that has no chain back to it's founders.

There are many numerical contradictions in the Quran. Can God make so much error in doing simple calculations? How many days did it take to create Heavens and Earth ? Quran 7: 54 Your gurdian-Lord is Allah who created the heavens and earth in Six Days Quran 10: 3 Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and earth in Six Days Quran 11:7 He it is Who created the heavens and earth in Six Days Quran-25:29: He Who created the heavens and earth and all that is between, in Six Days The above verses clearly state that God created the heaven and Allah created the heaven and the Earth in 6 days. But the verses below stated- Quran 41: 9 Is it that ye deny Him who created the earth in Two Days ? Quran 41: 10 He set on the (earth) Mountains standing firm high above it, and bestowed blessing on the earth, and measured therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in FOUR DAYS… Quran 41: 12 So He completed them (heavens) as seven firmaments in Two days and … Now do the math: 2(for earth) + 4(for nourishment) + 2 (for heavens) = 8 days; and not 6 days Similar mistakes you can see in the verse: Quran 4: 11 - 12, and Quran 4: 176 in inheritance law. In these verses one can see the total property after adding all distributed parties adds up more than the available property, i.e., totals become more than 1 which are: 1.125 and 1.25. How come ? A gross mathematical errors, is not it ? Allah’s Days Equal to 1000 Years or 50,000 Years? Quran 22: 47 A day in the sight of the Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning. Quran-32:5: To Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be a thousands years of your rekoning Quran 70: 4 The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a day the measure whereof is Fifty thousands years. Sikhism is about connecting to the one God, a peaceful religion and about helping the less fortunate. Treating all humans as equals. Muslims shouldn’t really be saying things like who goes to hell and who doesn’t, and converting people to Islam. They need to interact more with people of all faiths. This young man has been very brave, God protect him.

Correction: It's about connecting to a contradictory idea of God; the idea that God had NO attributes (Nirgun) before creating, but then acquired attributes (Sargun) when creating, but somehow still remained with NO attributes (Nirgun). Confused? So are we, and have been ever since we published our website in refutation of Sikhism almost 2 decades ago!

@@Matrix-tz5yc Being evil and committing mistakes is part of your own self and is there for a purpose. Otherwise it would exist in this world at the first place. If God is the driver and the creator of all, then why would he create mistakes? It must have some purpose. Traditionally, you have been told that mistakes are evil and will land you in hell. Sikhi doesn’t agree with that. The purpose of human life is to evolve to higher self or higher state of spiritual consciousness or the Divine consciousness while living, not afterlife. To evolve, we do mistakes which comes normal in life and we learn. That is our “Real Self”. From mistakes we question and reason our existence and the act. From reasoning and questioning comes out the awareness. And the awareness brings out the enlightenment. The thoughts originating is mind is created by the God itself. Because he is the creator and driver of all. Those are originating so that you connect to your own self and find the purpose thru evaluation. Imagine you set up a barrier to these thoughts and mistakes with man made laws (sharia laws for example) which stop you from connecting your own Real Self. If bad thoughts are originating in your mind than that is you. Your Real Self. You are not suppose to run away from it or mask it with rituals or dogmas. Accept your own self first. Be truthful to you own self first. Once you have realized that, you are on the path to know the Ultimate Truth. Let me share quotes of Sikh Scriptures- When you are conscious in your own consciousness, you will be illuminated and enlightened. (SGGS. P 339). Man is crazy without self-realization. When he knows himself, the reality of his Being, his true nature, only then he comes to know the ONE (all pervading truth). (SGGS. P855)

Black American ex-Muslim here. For years I have been eastern culture, specifically Sikhism. It’s really kick ass in a lot things iv looked into. I e the history of it. Interestingly it’s quite hand in hand with India/Pakistan history. I just wanted to ask was there a specific reason as to why the last 8 Sikh Gurus were related one way or the other? I went to the nearest Sikh temple to me (quite a way away) and asked the Sikh priests there some months ago. I wasn’t satisfied also as their English wasn’t the best, so the temple’s manager got me in touch with his son. After a good conversion (to which he also told me about other things) I still haven’t got the answer I was after. Hope anyone can provide insight.

Vjkk vjkf ji Thank you for sharing your story bro In regards to the last 8 Guru's being related Initially yes, the guru ship was not passed to the son or family members During the time of the 3rd Guru, Guru Amar daas ji, their daughter bibi bhani ji married Guru Raam Daas Ji (who went on to become the 4th Guru, they were originally known as 'Raam Daas' or Bhai Jetha Ji, One day when Guru amar daas was in deep meditation the bed on which they sat broke, one of the legs was about to collapse and their daughter bibi bhani ji saying this grabbed a hold of that leg and stopped it from breaking, which meant the 3rd guru's meditation was not broken, when the 3rd came out of meditation they saw their daughter laying under the bed holding the leg, some say her arm was bleeding, the 3rd Guru was so pleased with their devotion that they asked their daughter to ask for anything they wish, that is where bibi bhani ji humbly plead that the Guru ship stays within the family tree and doesn't go out, as in the past it has caused issues in the guru's home. The 3rd Guru accepted this, but said great sacrifices would have to be given in this lineage to come, which is true if u follow the lives of the next guru's particularly the 5th, 9th and 10 th Guru Hope that helps bro You can learn more on basics of sikhi channel if you search the 'whyguru course' an introductionary course into sikhism(sikhi) Vjkk vjkf ji

I met many Muslims living and working in UK and Europe. Mostly Asian Muslim migrants like me came to work and when I went working in dubai, my believe in Sikhism grew so much. There is so much conflict among old Abrahamic religions like Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Old stories who has no relevance in todays world. And due to those stone age stories so much social and inter religious conflict which is today pushing world for world War 3. Where as Sikhism is such a new way of believing and following the path of how to live this life. There is no conflict as gurus lived just in the span of 500 hundred years. This is the time when science started evolving and humankind started thinking from its mind. Christianity is taking its last breath because churches are empty and lands sold out. Islam is in so much conflict with Shia and sunni and other religions. Out of 57 Muslims countires 50 islmaic countires are under poverty. Judaism we all know is so badly shaped. Sikhism is the fresh breath of air to show humanity a new way of life and beyond.

I just wanna say that we sikhs don't consider anything as dharmic fold. If there is any such thing, we are not in it. It is just lumping some religions, which do not have much in common, under some banner because of some property which is just very insignificant.

Think I'll disagree there. There is something unique about Eastern/Dharmic religions as opposed to Abrahamic ie different religions but they are working hard to be better people, shed ego and develop love - concepts of karma, spiritual attainment, becoming one with the creator. Practices and beliefs vary as do certain ethos.

@mcdonaldsgaming3974 sikhism literally copied and then modified concepts of their forefathers religion. It is 100 pc dharmic. It's reincarnation, it's enlightenment and beleifs about god which are impossible to think of (becoming one with god, I.e, bcome god)

So, which one is it? Is the day of Allah equal to 1,000 earth years or 50,000 earth year.

One cannot force anyone to become Muslim and if someone do it its a sin because Quran clearly states one can't force anyone and Sikhism comes from Hindus and Muslims 😊 half they took from Hindus and half from Muslims and made Sikhism

@@ummerali5984well, lots od Muslims in history sinned then! And sikhi isn't an amalgamation of Hinduism and Islam. Sikhi is a dharmic faith related to Buddhism and Vedic dharm. Islam itself is heavily based on Judaism mixed with Christianity and Arab paganism.

@indrajeet When did I ever said that Muslim don't sin ? Everyone sins and best of those who repent Christianity and Judaism are the ppl of a book we believe in their books although we believe that it has been changed and we r not alike in order to make that claim u have to know what Christians and Jews believe in n u have to do comparative study that u can make a statement like that

Islam gives you peace. He mentioned wealth. It doesn’t encourage the love of money. If he’s happy being a Sikhi then that’s his own path. A lot of people are transitioning between faiths like Christian’s to Muslims and Muslims to ex Muslim etc. Most importantly Everyone should respect each other’s faith and not mock them. Peace ✌🏼
