I took this train 6 years ago, I remember it was super convenient to get to visit the mines. Poland as an amazingly extensive railway network and they make good use of it!

You left the train one stop too early. You left at Wieliczka Park instead of Wieliczka Rynek - Kopalnia, and the latter is THE stop for the salt mine:)

We went some years ago, very little information and we couldn’t get a train back. Krakow was beautiful, the salt mines were disappointing

Signs tell this train goes from platform 3, but... because it is Kraków (and Poland) it goes every day, every time from ANY other place - it also leaves station and arrives not according to timetable but... ANY time! During short time senior ticket price jumped 300% up... Funny ??? - YES!
