I have over 7 years in IT as a system administrator.. But also just got a job as a software dev 8 months ago working for a small yet old company. Some said it was step down... but Microsoft is my goal! Thanks for sharing your experience it has helped me stay motivated for sure.

I think software engineer at microsoft is much better than lead at many other companies.

Great timing finding this video. I was curious to hear a little more about your interview process with Microsoft? As someone that has a rather senior role in my current place I'd be curious to see how the process was in terms of interview and code testing?

I've been rejected for not meeting the role requirements.... Only thing i can think of, is childishness over listing Go and Python. The job mentioned C#, Python, Rust. I did C# through all 4 years of uni. Rust as a hobby. Have 4 years experience, and smashing the hell out of sweng.
