I don't know who you all are, but I'm overjoyed by the amount of people who have not only encouraged me to upload again, but also took the time to share their thoughts, experience and knowledge on both Smite 1 and Smite 2. Anubis is the game's iconic lane bully character. He oneshots waves level 1, his ultimate deals too much damage and he heals way too much for characters to be able to fight him early on. His main weakness is how squishy he becomes late game. Every mage in the game outscales him eventually, so playing safer against him is a must. GG!

The Morrigan had better wave 1 clear than anubis before they nerfed her. Her 3rd auto explodes. So shoot 3 autos at melees then 2 then 2 autos on melee and the 3rd on archers and wave was clear. The reason Morrigan won against Goobis is because she can box better and her 2 came back ridiculously quickly so you could hit Goobis with it, proc passive on hik with your 3rd auto and have another 2 ready for next wave.

A couple of Zeus tips. Your 2 gives you both attack speed and move speed, so use it as you come out of the fountain to get back to lane a little faster. Don't be afraid to put it on cooldown if you need to rotate quickly. Also, mages are notorious for the need to scale via items, so farm is king. Generally, K/D isn't the best guide for ahead/behind. Look at your gold and levels compared to others. You can get farmed by your lane opponent or the jungler, but if you keep up the lane and camp farming you can actually end up ahead of your lane opponent. Smite is very PVE-focused early to mid game. Your goal should be ~1 level/minute or less. If your Jungler is off ganking a lane on one side of the map, and there is a camp nearby, go ahead and grab it, their timers are pretty short. Also, I don't know if this is how it works in League, but you actually get bonus XP/Gold if you split a camp. Meaning it's not a 50/50 split, but more like a 60/60 split (I don't remember the exact math). You should always split (or take for yourself) the contested camps, like the buff at the half-way point of mid-lane. Enjoying the vids, cheers!

To add a bit to the way splitting works, youre right that its 60/60 with two, but basically its 100% for one, 120% divided for any more, 60/60 for two, 40/40/40 for three, ect ect, so soloing or splitting with one is bast

Love the positive energy in your games. Positioning is THE most important thing anyone new to Smite should be working on. I would assume its this way in any moba. Having a background in league i can tell you have the fundamentals down for any moba and are applying them in Smite. Youre killing it for not having that many hours put in yet. Keep it up! Love seeing new folks trying it out! You'll notice there's a lot more jungle fighting in conquest usually. Jungle domination is key to securing gold fury and fire giant, as well as improving your own buffs. Stealing enemy buffs will level yours faster, allowing for more snowball potential out of the jungle.

Also you mentioned in league you can buy an elixir when you’ve got full items. Well it’s the same thing here either a 3k elixir of strength or intellegence, obviously depends on what your character scales off.

Supports in SMITE actually tend to rotate a LOT compared to League (something I had to get used to since I played SMITE first before dabbling in Wild Rift). More Warden-like supports do tend to stick to lane longer to keep their carry safe while farming but Enchanter-like (Aphrodite, mostly) would usually stick to the Jungler or Midlaner while Vanguard-like supports essentially act as secondary junglers to setup ganks and kills. Of course, it differs game-to-game and matchup-to-matchup; I tend to play aggressive supports while my friend I duo-q with likes to play safe carries like Jing Wei so once I'm confident he can farm safely alone, I tend to roam ASAP. By the way, Zeus in SMITE 2 is actually VERY flexible as a damage dealer. Because his stacks increase the damage your autos do to them and his 2 gives him attack speed, he's actually viable in the carry role with an attack speed build. Granted, I don't know what his best build is but SMITE 2 does have hybrid Int/Str items (all auto attacks in this game have a scaling of Basic Attack Damage + 100% Strength + 20% Intelligence) and Bragi's Harp is, I believe, a core item for him. Alternatively, just build like a Crit ADC because that will shred late game anyway, your abilities will essentially just act as ways of stacking his passive since you'd lack the Intelligence from items (aside from Death Metal, which gives Str, Int, and Crit chance).

i would make sure to buy potions at least 1 health pot everytime you back and when you no longer need mama pots you can start buying wards . ward placement is important but start with where you see the enemy bungler ganging and soon you’ll learn the good places for wards . good luck on the journey bro !

@@2SK3TCHY Smites one of those games where there is small mechanics you probably wouldn’t know initially, Im sure you’ll experience them but your gameplay is already plenty entertaining. Small things like if a tower hits a minion that minion wont give xp or gold, that’s a fairly well known one but smite 2 probably has a good amount of things like that and I'm probably unaware of it too. Item building is normally the hardest thing to learn though by a landslide 😅but some of things is building wacky builds like attack speed crit Zeus or other shenanigans is one of my favorite things to do.

Big thing to remember with Zeus is that your damage is literal insanity, but you have no movement or cc immunity so you are super weak against characters with CC like ymir/anubis wrap. So beads is often very very important on zeus along with positioning. That being said, very well done as someone who is still learning the game. I think your general moba sense from league helps you a lot in terms of expecting ganks and engages, looking at gold, who is doing well, who isn't, who needs to be focused etc.

you should use your 2 on the middle of the minion wave instead of the 1 for zeus. learning what abilities to max first will help you things like wave clear early game. love the content and the great vibes from you!!

Love the content, i started playing smite in season 2 Zeus was the first character i fell in love with and dedicated time 2. Positioning and pathing are very important you have a huge bullseye on you. That being said for a new player your doing great i still catch myself yelling advice at my screen watching you 😂. Love the content love watching league players try smite keep the possitive attitude. Try out the characters you find interesting but to truely progress you must main 1 and learn the interactions learning each button and when to use them. Stack those charges my friend. New sub keep it up.

Had to hit em with the trucker horn. Zeus definitely a feast or famine character. Farm always the main squeeze especially for a damage role like mid or carry Ymir calling you to support life hahaha. It’s freeing, just run around and be a menace. Put walls in front of your own team. Love it 19:55 hahaha I felt that gasp what a dream set up Mid definitely a hard role to pick up cause you’re a juicy target and a lot of the map pressure gets funneled through mid. The mo is don’t die and if you are gonna die get your cool downs off. The last big role of mid or mages generally is objective secure. Normally they will have a big burst ability that can finish gold fury or fire giant. Sweats can get salty if the mid doesn’t secure lol Wards are good all game honestly. The whole teams job but most people just don’t lol.

As a midlaner it is important to ward the jungle. A lot of pressure is put on the midlaner, and you need info on when you are being pushed by a jungle or support. Especially if you have a bad escape ability like Zeus. Zeus 3 is also a really reliable source of damage since it can't miss. I usually level it over the chain lightning, but I don't really know if that is correct. One important thing is to keep track of what roles people are playing. In Smite 2, a lot of gods got the ability to play into multiple roles depending on their build. You should probably take a look at the aspect system too, for some gods it changes them drastically.

quick tip to most league players minions are squshy and get cleared really quickly even by most tanks, the current conquest map has so much farm that realistically you should be clearing wave then doing a camp. Other People pointed out anubis is a lane bully, and is partially correct, though can be easily camped. Happy to see more people trying smite 2 gives me hope since IMO its better than league by far.

fyi in settings/interface configuration you can set abilities cast mode (can be configured per ability per god) I personally like to use instant mode, basically when you press ability it is instantly used and doesn’t show you this yellow target, like on zeus second you don’t even need to aim, so instant cast is just better, same with zeus first ability, you know it goes in straight line, so no point to show yellow thingy, instant cast will feel more natural and you will hit more imo. P.S. it seems like there is like a ui bug, so until you die it doesn’t set it to instant.

typically i played Top, but eventually moved to jungle and mid. I became very aware of how the game worked, and those 2 roles allowed me to read the map to enable my teams better than i could as a top laner.

2:55 wait is this not a thing in league? in smite we call those jump parties, where people jump around, use emotes and voicelines, and are generally friendly with the enemies before the game starts (this is by far most common in the game mode of assault)

Anubi's is super weak to ganks since he doesn't have a scape ability. So you just have to wait it out until and try to make him use his relic so your jungler can get a free kill!

Having never played league, it's kinda fun hearing the lingo. Especially, using voice comms. Usually only the top ranked players use actual comms. Smite's always been a casual moba and the VGS (hotkey voodoo) system helps us shy nerds from having to deal with (a bit of the) verbal toxicity. Aladdin is definitely overtuned. But that's pretty common in Smite. The newest characters are always overtuned to help boost player engagement. They get nerfed after one patch. Aladdin already got his first nerf yesterday. It seems you're starting to get placed in more experienced lobbies. This is why you're starting to see supports roam more. Not sure what the meta is like in LoL but in Smite the support s tend to leave their lanes post early game. I think Fire Giant (FG) is very different from Baron. The FG does two things in S2. It gives the whole team boosted stats, and it drops a dagger. The dagger should usually be picked up by a carry. If you use it will chunk 500 hp off you and you'll get stronger. If it ends up killing you, it will revive you with full health after a few seconds and you still get the buff. Smite 2 also has two elixirs like League. But they only boost strength or intelligence and cost 3k each. It doesn't have any defensive elixirs. Good luck on your next games!

@@2SK3TCHY It does 500 true damage to yourself, if you manage to kill yourself you are revived. Hard to time, but turns fights around in a big way. Enemies can also steal it, if you die with it on you.

Zeus in general throughout the history of smite is a god you want to bully and not let get rolling. he has low mobility and needs to be killed if you’re against him. if not he’s just gonna pop off. so if you play zeus you’re gonna get good at being jumped on and doing your combo very fast.

Also try agni out if you’re tired of getting dove on and dumping your kit. the better players you play the more zeus gets pressured.

I wont pretend SMITE has a *good* community. You're right, it's a MOBA, which on it's own seems to draw some of the most toxic players in gaming. But as someone who has played SEVERAL MOBAs, it's probably got the most vocal positive players to balance it out in my experience. Especially as SMITE 1 got older, it seemed to almsot grow less toxic (in part because people were probably just desperate to keep new blood playing instead of scaring them off.) I'm glad you're getting a mostly warm welcome, especially coming from League, as I play that too, and know how terrible that community is.

11:50 Aladdin is definitely overtuned right now. He is probably one of stronger releases ever Smite 1 included. He got some nerfs recently that reduced his damage by a bit, but he still does so much damage that he could kill you twice with one kit rotation. Edit: 27:02 Those crystals on the left give you +2 intelligence and strength per stack (+4 every rotation of them) so try to pick them up when you have nothing better to do. Picking them up through the game can get you a lead especially in the early game where every int and str helps. Also they can be the deciding factor for killing an enemy or leaving them 1 hp.

in league terms anubis basically Warwick. Just absurd early game but if you chill he becomes a complete non issue Some matchups are genuinely just not fun, but most of the really oppressive laners aren't in the game yet, you can also play unconventional things like in league (adcs mid etc) if you want. 9:45 about the jungle fighting, yeah it's not as scary to invade on smite due to how much smaller the map is and how easier it is to get away with the higher TTK. There was a pro clip from what must be a decade ago now of adapting(pretty much smites faker) 1v3ing in the enemy jungle and winning

@ my suggestion is keep on with youtube creation for now and focus on that until you develop your gameplay then stem onto streaming. Watching you learn the game is already entertaining in its own way and unique to growth but as you progress definitely look to stream on twitch once you develop a dedicated community. You’re killing it brother 💪🏽

Considering the Phoenix infinitly respawns if you take too long I feel it would be unfair if towers were more tanky since it would make it impossible to mount a come back since you could waste their time till the Phoenix respawns then work on their towers

if you have antil alisaing TAA on turn it off its on by default and it makes the whole game look blurry as hell for no reason if you turn it off it become a whole new game visually

Just as a tip, don't use autobuild!! It's ok for noobs but autobuild doesnt account for all situations and not very optimal. I suggest making your own builds and flex it for different situations like anti heal, adcs, etc

New gods are always over tuned for 2 reasons. The first reason is that it's easier to collect data on how to balance the god if you have a bunch of people playing it, if a god is released and it sucks then no one is gonna play it. Charybdis in Smite 1 is an example of this, she was released and was ass and it took them like 8 months for her to be good because no one was playing her so they couldn't collect the data they needed. The other reason is marketing, people are gonna make videos and short form content showing off shit like "Going 20-0 on Aladdin", easy way to get eyes on the game
