Tony and Jason are truly like skateboarding Jedis who are spending time to unlock the knowledge of skateboarding and to humanize the sport even further This pod episode was beyond skateboarding just like the Rodney Mullen and Nyjah Houston episodes - the masters of the ART talking game and philosophy. The lessons and skills learned in skateboarding are life skills that stretch beyond the board and rail. These are the GOATs across generations and it's literal magic when they collide 🎉🤙❤️

The first day they got their boards they were 4 and 6...they rolled to the local park and Andy was there. He took time to chat with them and showed them a few tricks. More than that he is what you see. Dude is chill and genuine, creative and intelligent, and just humble. Proud he's a White Rock Local oldschool. Also thankful for what skateboarding has taught my kids and myself, as someone who did not grow up skating. @@fatfurie I understand the frustration but you might wanna elaborate a bit in the future so people don't get the wrong idea. Tony didn't abandon the games, Activision did. IIRC When they launched the THPS1+2 Remake and it did decently well they had plans to remake more of the old games. Then Activision decided to move the studio working on the remakes (Vicarious Visions) to their Blizzard team working on the Diablo 2 remake at the time. Vicarious Visions got dissolved into Blizzard and Activision seem to have decided making more remakes or new games in the franchise isn't profitable enough. Thanks Activision, you suck.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater got me into skating too, and I actually have Andy's Maple 7 Ply deck - and Jason is just badass anyway - so I was really excited to see this Podcast come together. As fun and philosophical as the whole thing was, it was actually Jason's exchange with Andy about Mental Health that's really hit hard - i've been struggling with my mental health for years and have only started getting a grip on it in the last year or so - it's the hardest fucking thing in the World and as guys the stigma is we shouldnt talk about it - just man up. That's literally impossible and the only thing that has helped in the last year is really talking about it and getting some outside perspective. Dont keep that shit inside man, it's not healthy and it's no different to wearing a helmet - protect the stuff that matters most - your mind.

You could use the word authentic to describe him and it wouldn’t touch what he is and what he’s sharing with the world. Truth is probably the better way to describe him. I have so much love in my heart for Jason and Tony. Jason’s ability to get vulnerable right there was nothing short of magic. Tony’s ability to stay curious, humble and passionate in spite of his mega stardom. THAT is true masculinity and true power that all young men should emulate. Andy represents the divine masculine, the evolution of the modern “renaissance man.” He’s the artist and the athlete. The scholar in action. Projecting his beautiful mind into the world with no sense of selfishness. At the same time nor does he pose as perfect. Because the imperfection is the container for the divine. I’ve blathered on enough, but thank you Jason and Tony. You will never know how much this show has meant to me. How it inspired me to start skating again after over 30 years away from it. How it’s helping me shed the 30 pounds of weight I gained over the last 3 years I’ve spent mostly cloaked in darkness and suffering. You guys were holding a portion of the light at the end of the tunnel. I am eternally grateful for the time and energy you put into this and into the community we all love. THANK YOU

Noticed I'm the 11th person to like this comment as a master number 11 but also Andy is a master number 33. Mullen is also an 11.

Of today's current skaters, Andy Anderson is definitely my favorite!!!!!!!!! One of the most unique skaters of all time! He literally reinvented the wheel, seriously, check out his product line. Super excited for this one 😁 Loving these comments... glad to see people know what's up!!!

I met Andy at a summer camp in 2009 when we were kids and he bombed the hill doing a one-foot manual. I went and asked for his name because I knew he was skating like nobody I had ever seen. He’s the nicest dude. Then I ran into him again years later at a grocery store and we talked about skating for like 15 minutes while I was supposed to be working. So happy to see his success

This was such a philosophical conversation. I feel like Andy is revolutionizing teaching and coaching skating. He is so cool!

Great group of skaters. Loved the entire interview and amazed still at Andy. I judged a contest in Whiterock where Andy grew up. It was the bowl series which had many years in the books before this young kid showed with the men. Well, every run I’d look at Seb and say, I don’t know I he’s winning brother. 12 or 13 he was. He walked away a winner. Never saw much more of him until later on. Got to know him a bit better at a birthday party Kevin Harris threw for him. I’ll be a fan until the grave. Glad you guys did this. Rad Rick Ducommun shout out by Tony. ❤

Just fucking Wow! To all of you! Including the comments! Crossed all boundaries in philosophy of all things passionate and decency to all! You guys hit out of the park in all directions! Andy walks the walk, while he coincidentally “walks the dog” in and out of his “spacewalks”! A giant leap in understanding skaters and humanity! Shits, giggles and tears! You have it all here!

Look, I lnow next to nothing about skateboarding, but what I love is the sheer passion. Listening to folks get really emotional about the things they love is the most inspiring and connective thing. I can not stress enough how much good yall are doing for the sport, for the community and most importantly, for just every day people looking to connect! From Ian busting in to announce they dropped in again to Andy tearing up, this was an emotional rollercoaster of the most genuine vibes. I both liked and described to this video.

BEST VIDEO I’VE SEEN IN AWHILE. We need an Andy part2 and Mullen part 2 or even a colab with Andy & Rodney talking to each other. Their energy bouncing off each other would be insane to watch

I have never seen nor set foot near a skateboard since I was about 6 years old, barely ever went near a Tony Hawks game on any platform and yet this guy coming across my feed has instantly catapulted him into my top 5 human beans on the planet. Must be the helmet……safety conscious is a thing when you’re 50. Big ups Andy Anderson thanks for this podcast it’s a sub from me.

I feel like Tony & Andy are best friends after this. Great episode to all 3 of you guys! Edit- so much respect to Andy for wearing his heart on his sleeve, to Jason for opening up & trying to make Andy feel better about being emotional, and to Tony for being totally chill & just a standup guy during all of that. That was a powerful moment guys.

Been watching Andy since he started popping up on NKA's channel years ago while I was in rehab, trying to get my life back in order. He was such a pleasure to watch then, and a major pleasure watching him conquer the hearts of all skaters. And this interview was top notch, Andy is truly a special human being, and the world would be a much better place with more Andy's in the world ❤ Amazing interview Boys
