This is a great man. I knew him personally. He was General Authority over New Mexico Albuquerque Mission. He also was a mission President in California. I still remember a Discussion we added to our six discussions called “The Need For A Prophet”. He was a wonderful man. Him and his wife suffered a catastrophic car accident and regrettably she was lost and he suffered greatly. He gave me a blessing even after his injuries a short time before his passing. Even after his injury he remembered what he had just said in his blessing, that’s all can say on that but remarkable servant of our God, even so in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

He is my father. My mother did not die from the car accident. She died from alzheimers disease. My dad died at 94 but was never the same after the car accident. He didn't remember being a general authority, or anything about the church. I'm glad you have fond memories of him😊

I did this a few years ago. I finally caught up to now about 2-3 years ago. It will be a better conversion tool than just about any other. You learn so much about the church, and modern prophecies, including some I'd never even heard of! It's well worth it if you do it!

Was Mission Pres at time there or GA? I remember him being a Mission President if memory serves me correctly I thought Ventura California but know he was a Regional General Authority MidWest and was over the Albuquerque Mission and couple others in area back in the day. Knew him personally very nice and kind person. Gave me a blessing near his passing. He was giving blessings out just prior to the end of his life, most may not know this. To the very very end he served as God would have him do. Blessings.

Heard him speak at a packed fireside in the early 80's. The only thing I can recall him saying was something very relevant today. He said, the Lord does not put female spirits in male bodies or male spirits into female bodies.

He came to Ogden when I was a kid and gave a fireside in my Ward. We got his approval to record it. During the fireside he went into the congregation to take questions. Well that doesn't work very well when you're recording so i grabbed the mic and took it to him but he thought it was for the sound system. When he couldnt hear himself. He tapped on the mic and still didn't hear anything upon with he said, and I quote "We can put a man on the moon but we can't get a P. A. system to work!" Yes, it was right after the first moon landing. It was pretty funny.

I was raised in a Christian churches I didn't know mom was a Jew until she found out in 1998 when Grandma's last sister died on her death bed confession. When I was learning about Jewish festivals and Important Traditions I had a grouping of LDS brothers who were giving me books to read. My rabbi and cantor both unbeknownst to either their closest best non-Jewish friend was their next door neighbor. Both LDS Bishops. The thing that really ticks me off when I hear people saying that LDS people are praying to a wrong Jesus.

That's a rumor, investigate the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints very closely from missionaries and members and ask questions where you don't understand, listen carefully and patiently follow and I promise you will find the Truth. In every dispensation, the true Church of Christ was always hated so it's no different now.

A sad story of a pastor abandoning faith in Jesus Christ and adopted the works righteousness of the LDS. The basis of faith is not our personal experience but the message of Jesus Christ and the Apostles which we have in the New Testament.

This minister couldn't find complete answers to his questions until he joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I wouldn't call that a sad story. As for faith in Jesus Christ. You might enjoy these verses from The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ: "Wherefore, I know that thou art redeemed, because of the righteousness of thy Redeemer; for thou hast beheld that in the fulness of time he cometh to bring salvation unto men." 2 Nephi 2:3 "Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise." - 2 Nephi 2:8

Jesus's warning about false prophets should not be misconstrued to mean that there would never be more prophets following his death and resurrection and the deaths of his twelve apostles. Amos 3:7 states that God does nothing save He reveals his secrets to his servants the prophets, and other scriptures teach that by the power of the Holy Ghost all humans can know that God called His servant, Joseph Smith Jr to be a prophet, and that there is a living prophet on the Earth today who speaks God's words to the world. That prophet is President Russell M. Nelson. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Nothing we do, but Jesus will change us from the inside and no longer will we WANT TO DO WHAT DISPLEASES OUR FATHER. At this point we are BORN AGAIN (John chapter 3) Nicodemus went to Jesus by night Asked HOW SO I GET TO HEAVEN? Repetitively Jesus told him “UNLESS A MAN IS BORN AGAIN, He shall not inherit the kingdom of GOD” (HEAVEN) No religion required No man made rules additives or removals -> revelation 22:18&19 Proverbs30:6 Deuteronomy 4:2 &… So, GOD ONLY WROTE BIBLE USING THE PEN OF MAN OVER 1,500 years - Hebrews 6:9 “… it is impossible for God to lie…” 2 Timothy 3:16 ALL SCRIPTURE IS THE (GOD BREATHED) inspired word of God good for teaching correcting Training in righteousness.” I say all this because I love you - with Gods love, and want to dance the streets of gold for all eternity & GOD HAS MADE ONE WAY - He made heaven - He is owner - if someone wanted to move into your house forever wouldn’t you want to know them -have a relationship with that individual? Yes, well that’s what God wants with you. He wants you to know His love provision wisdom life joy peace and assurance of eternal life NOW. But He has given you free will Last thing He said is: do not be deceived. There is a way unto man which seems right but the end thereof is death & destruction. Also Every man is right in his own eyes. God commands: Provervs 3:57 TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOuR HEART (not in man made anything) Lean not unto your own understanding, but acknowledge Him in all your ways& He WILL (PROMISE) Direct your path. Be not wise in your own eyes.” I take all this time to write this out because even tho I don’t know you, God does & HE DOES NOT TAKE PLEASURE in the death of the wicked Of our own selves we are all wicked until we surrender our will to Jesus of Bible. He has so much more for you Please get alone, read the Bible as a child (with no preconceived ideas/teaching of man) It will take time don’t quit Talk to Jesus - yes, He died, buried , rose from the dead ALIVE FOREVERMORE. HE. Will speak to you ask Him whatever (I’m only His ambassador A spokesman to encourage you. I hope &’pray to see you there Jesus/GOD GAVE ME A VISION OF HEAVEN ONCE WHEN i couldn’t take anymore- WHEN I CAME BACK, I was so ashamed - I said LORD LAY IT ON ME WHATEVER YOU WANT ME TO DO THE GLORIES god has in store for us are phenomenal!!!
