There’s almost zero maintenance on EVs … but if you’re thinking of getting a used electric in 3-5 years make sure your dealer swapped out the battery for a new one, or expect your range to be >30% less than advertised.

I was in the market for a sedan. The BMW 7 series is a total length of 212 inches which is a little too long for me since my garage isn’t that deep, so I went with a 2012 Honda Civic instead

spot on review. as an owner of an i7 I agree with everything you said. the electric powertrain suits the platform better than gas. it's a quiet, comfy cruiser that has a sporty edge in S mode. also interior is great, more traditionalist instead of modernist. more physical buttons would be nice though. too many features are buried in the infotainment screen. MB's is better

When you're coming up with a luxury car as a luxury company, invest in the exterior as much the interior. People get wowed by the outside of the car before the inside (given they get to sit in one). BMW has always and will always continue to make great cars in subpar bodies and it's even gotten worse now. The XM in my opinion is the only remarkable car they've managed to design in years which i think should have been the 7 series instead of whatever they tried achieving with it. The company just seem confused to me and i sometimes wonder how they managed to acquire Rolls Royce.

The Volvo S60 recharge with the optional B&O setup is definitely the best of any car I've reviewed. Right below that is the Mercedes SL63s sound system.

I think the biggest problem they did some study or something where many modern luxury cars like bmw kinda falling apart much faster than normal “family” cars so you really are gonna suffer in maintenance costs if you wait it out

What were the execs smoking when they ok’d this styling? I’m sure it’s one of those cars that doesn’t look hideous when you see it in person, but what about the whole idea of marketing it and making it oook good in pictures?? haha oh well, there’s always next generation… it’s like the 2002 gen, trying to be revolutionary instead of just making sure it looked decent. You’re right, just like the 2002 gen, it’s gonnna depreciate like crazy. Doesn’t make sense though. They’ve got Rolls Royce, they could see the proportions that were helping the S-Class to sell and look great… just a bit more tweaking could have looked great. Argh.
