From New Year's to February

This video spans the time between January and just before the anniversary of my Dad's passing. The video is mostly a day in the life, showing some of my everyday routine as I start getting ready for my next adventure up Chopaka mountain. I get to take you along as I go to visit the Cowboy From Loomis, and even get to show you a little bit of his house. We also get to meet my friend Bear Claw Dan and talk to him a little. Later I start tanning a deer hide I've been salting to get ready for process into a nice fur pelt. It's important to me to be able to preserve the hide, one because I can use it to help keep warm, and two because in some small way it seems to live on as a testament to the animal's life. I also talk a bit about grief and how I'm processing mine as I'm getting ready for the anniversary of my dad's passing on the seventh of February.
This video took longer to put together because not much happened, so I needed to cover a longer time span lol

An ice fishing adventure sounds like an awesome idea for a future video. If you catch a fish bring stuff to clean and cook it right at the lake. For some reason it always taste better that way. I really enjoyed this update. Don't be shy on doing updates more often. Heck even a video every day would be okay with me 😁. A heck of allot of work so I don't expect that many. Go at a pace that makes you feel comfortable. I'm glad this KZbin channel is starting to pick up for ya. It's just the start. It will get allot bigger. Just takes time and consistent uploads. The anniversary of a loved ones death is always hard. I always think about my mom but in September I feel it even more. I get so much anxiety and my head races with thoughts. I just reminisce on everything I can. I find it as time goes by memories fade away 😭. The one good thing about the show is at least you have so much footage of your dad. Hi Matt, sometimes I still feel those feelings now and then, Grandpa went home with the Lord at the beginning of covid, I always try not to talk about it unless I feel like someone should know or when people don't know then I'll let them know. I spend little time thinking about the memories because I to always tend to get emotional, even as I am writing this I have some tears but it's okay because we have our Lord to help us through difficult times. When the Lord blesses me w/walking again, I'll enjoy gettin out there again, nature walks etc etc. I too love to seek, find, discover, and live off the land the Lord gave us, gardens and planting trees. just as God intended us to do. You're very crafty!💪🌟💯 Love it! Ps. Ive been paralyzed w/chance to walk again, since the day of accident 5 yrs ago(a truck hit me and ran over me twice). But I'm fighting the fight to walk again....🤸‍♀️🏋‍♀️🏃‍♀️🧍‍♀️👩‍🦽💞✨️✝️✨️. I can only be thankful for that day that truck hit me, bc that was the day the Lord rescued me from the terrible life I was living as a suffering alcoholic. Drugs played a part as well, but I had to have that alcohol. Today, I can proudly say that I have 5yrs completely clean and sober 100%. I had many what could have been fatal injuries from head to hips and was in coma and on life support. I am a living miracle and pray🙏✝️ that one day I am a walking miracle. When, not if, I'm walking again, Id love to come visit you one day. That would be so cool to get to meet you, and a true blessing as well. May God bless✨️you and your entire fam💗. I pray the Lord blesses you w/great memories full of smiles and laughter of your dad(RIP💗✨️). God gives us all the strength we need to get through the toughest of times in life Matt. Just a tip for about your truck. In the winter, it’s best to start it in the mornings. That way it has all day to cool down and you don’t risk creating problems for yourself. If the engine is hot and doesn’t get enough time to cool down before the temperature drops very low, it could crack the engine. That’s what I do with my truck, because I don’t have the money to fix it should that happen. So warm the truck up in the morning or around noon, but not ant later than that.
