After his high school career ended, TJS had no Division Offers. The same night his season ended, he was offered by Austin Peay State University, his first D1 offer. Terrence took a chance on himself and played AAU baskeball one last season and later took a prep year at IMG Academy. From March 2018 until September 2018 he received over 15 D1 offers before ultimately committing to Texas Tech.
