This. This is why open world pvp is the best form of pvp. In years time you will not remember any of the structured arena battles that you had. But you'll always remember these moments in ow pvp where you started some massive battle or when you were such a nuisance that the enemies had to hunt you down with 20 people all over the map to get rid of you. Even people who don't like pvp at all appreciate these moments.

Yeah, this used to happen on a daily basis. Now everything in this vid is just a wet dream. PvP community? OwPvP? Both nonexistant. Thank PA and the noobs that wanted a themepark MMO even though BDO has always been a niche hardcore PvP game. Hope they can grind in peace now and proceed to do absolutely nothing at all with all that gear.

It's nice to see someone who feels the same about open world pvp. I came back after a break and decided I will stay on arsher for now. It's way more fun you meet super cool people there and even you sometimes just have no chance because it's someone with full BIS crystals you face. Sure it frustrating when you on season and someone just have 2x your stats. But when you have a fair fight and you finally take the win it feels just amazing. Still for new players it's unfair when they have to face someone with doupl or triple the stats of them on a season sever.

I have been doing node wars and sieging since 2020 and that experience what makes me keep playing. Its so sad that nowadays especially in SEA not many new players touch pvp even tho we have capped nw / siege. I wish that may new players and new guilds join nw and siege so the server becomes alive

Capped is bad. Cause classes like archer or awa dk deal 0 dmg in capped and in uncapped u need atleast 330 ap or u dont deal dmg but get os by Full dr warriors xD. The game is to gear dependand. BDO has so much potential but its breaking. And siege especially is such a shit show like 300 players bashing around. Balancing is bad, gear progression takes ages. Iam playing for 12k hours now and iam not even close to good gear. And i grind a lot. But iam unlucky with enhancing. I needed 170 tries for a pen bs before the pitty system and even now i need every try in the pitty system which is a lot of money. And like grinding for 1 item 100 to 200 hours is insane xD

the main reason i don’t bother with pvp, up to and including only grinding in marni realms, is the absurd gear disparity. i can’t spend 12+ hours a day grinding on BDO, so im always gonna be behind the GS curve. every time i’ve been forced into pvp at a grind spot its been someone that’s so much higher geared than me that i can’t touch their stats. pvp would be a lot cooler if the gear cost requirement wasn’t so insane. the crystal shattering even if you aren’t the instigator is a huge problem too. i stopped running crystals when i lost a couple of hours worth of grinding in crystals bc it just sucks lmao. i know pvp is cool and all and i like watching people do it but having both skill and grind time decide together who wins instead of just skill sucks as a casual player.

Tbh you need to spend so much time grinding gear to touch actual pvp in this game, that you can say that for an average player who can't afford driver (or don't want to) or play 6 - 12 hours/day - there is no PvP in BDO. Which is a shame, if BDO was a PvP focused game (with gearing by playing PvP) I would've still playing it.

I feel bad for all the PvP players coming in, every since the lost ark players essentially took our dec system away and even things like Marni realm to kill seeing players open world. Getting killed in PvP is one of the only few things that truly motivate me to get gear. Rip to the so many guilds that have died since.

BDO PvP biggest problem without grabs u cant cc anyone anymore if they are good in rotating their protected spells. Also if u dont have a grab u need hella gear cause otherwise a lot of classes just stay in q block that u cant break and wait and then rush into u in a split of a second and grab u and os you. For example i have 315 ap with nouver right now with archer and awa dk i deal 0 dmg unless they have way less gear than i do. They just stand in q block and even if i get a cc i cant kill them even with a down smash reset combo its so dumb xD But other than that yes BDO pvp has INSANE potential.

@@DapprDak Seriously though, I actually like it when I use underdog / weaker PvP classes because when you slapped and clapped these meta class users or high geared players, it feeeeels soooo daaaamn satisfying. I am an Awake Wizard user so I understand the struggle of the awakening casters in PvP. And PvP in BDO demands you to constantly practice and keep up with balance patches, know the gaps in your protection. This makes you the most dedicated player in BDO because you will notice even the smallest details in your class (e.g. the SA/Block lingers, movement, kiting, CC combo) that you would never know when you were just doing PvE all the time.
