I will never forget where I was when I heard of the rescue, I can't describe how hard it hit me. Later, I learned about how the IDF guys planned and drilled for it, they left nothing whatsoever to chance. They prevailed then, and will again now.

Having lived on Eretz Israel among the Jews I can understand the spirit of this song right from the heart of Israel. The beginning of well being is a love for Hashem and his people the Jews. Look at their faces! That's not acting my friends that is am Israel Chai. The anniversary of Operation Thunder Bolt is coming up 27 June 1976 when it was brought into existence. Someday we will be able to honor Hashem again with His Temple is in Jerusalem. The day is coming my friends, yes the day is coming my friends. There is just one thing I'd change; I'd substitute the "La La" part with Yah Yah.

Even though this was only a movie, it still makes me think about how it must’ve felt to be amongst the crowd of families waiting for the hostages to return home. Much like the hostages who had to pull together to get through the ordeal, the families had similarly gone through their own shared ordeal. Many of them had banded together and formed their own pressure group to try and advocate for their loved ones’ rescue or return. Some of them had been in open confrontation with the authorities over the lack of movement with the negotiations. So to finally be at this point, with all of that behind them, waiting to finally see the people they had fought so hard to get back get off that plane… well, I wish I could’ve been one of the media crews at that event.
