The Tribal Gathering Festival in Panama was placed under quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic on March 15th. There are still 40 people trapped on site, in a jungle by a beach that’s no longer paradise.
On April 21st the flight ban in the country was extended to May 22nd, meaning the festival-goers will be stranded for at least another month. This is now the last festival on earth.
Will it be Lord of the Flies, Fyre Festival, or The Beach? Here’s what happens when a tropical music festival goes on lockdown.

You should make a clear correction about the video, Panama has no military, all the people in uniform are police. Several times in the video people mentioned this.

@Wolf550 King69gar Well, according to my informations, Bitburger Pilsener does not contain any sugar. That brand does offer a beer that contains 0.0%vol alcohol, this beer does contain some sugar, though, to be precise it's 4.4 grams of suger per 100 ml. (That's what's stated in their nutrition stats) What does this mean now? Well, nothing I guess. Should it?

Im a Panamanian and i have a friend that went to the event. They warned them that they should leave early, but most people ignored it. My friend got out fine when the warning was made, its not my government’s fault that these hippies wanted to keep partying.

They love to go to what they call “third world countries” to remind us how “good and civilized” they are in those cities they hate to live and they love to be. I am tired they point the way things are done in our countries, even though there is much for us to improve, they are nobody to come and disrespect our people.

@@ernestomendez9327 Every country has a corrupt government. Anyone who points fingers is doing it out of ego. Let's be real, everything is about money. Even this festival, this helps bring money to your people. At the end of the day there is no pure country. Every country in the world is corrupted by disgusting elite pedophiles. You can blame your government just as much as you can blame the US government. Shelter and food should be free for all if we go back to our roots of mankind. @@great-eyedea lol, who is responsible for making your free shelter and gathering your free food? Who would you task for all those things that should be free? If you aren't going to pay for those luxuries, who will? Why not move to China or North Korea and see how that sort of idealistic government system worked out for them? My family is originally from North Korea. I'm sure I have relatives there that we have been separated from and have not seen for generations. Who knows if they are still alive or died in the many famines that ravaged the country. There are hidden videos that leaked out of North Korea of people discussing how in order to survive, they had to resort to cannibalism and eating sausages made from human meat was not uncommon.

Exactly, no one went there to live there. They went there for vacation, meaning they only packed enough food and supplies for a limited time. Any rational person on vacation who is suddenly told by military personnel that they would be stranded in a foreign country in which they are unprepared to live for a long duration would suddenly be worried about food, money, etc. If you went to panama and expected to be back to work in a week yet are suddenly stranded and unable to make money how would you feel?

Panama has to get things done progressively, timely and aware of people's needs. You have to warn people. Get a deadline for them to leave, etc. It cannot just surprise people like this, governments knew about coronavirus all along. It's absurd to force a lockdown on a festival while making the people pay for it (everyone know festivals are not cheap). In my country all coronavirus measures were carefully thought, something like this would be unthinkable! Now imagine that you go to some place where you have a specific amount of money and a plane to catch in the end and not only you are forced to stay as you are also forced to pay from your own pocket without being able to make a choice. Coeonavirus is a global threat but the country should be This is ridiculous. When you are submitted to any lockdown measures you are comfortably at your home. And yes of course the embassies should do something for the people. Not to mention that the people themselves shouldn't have gone to a festival on the other side of the world when the virus was spreading but that is another discussion.

Seriously dude, there’s an infectious threat, or Hell, kids starving just kilometers away from your first world commune, and you’re panicking about getting tobacco? Oh my God, what a waste of flesh

It's up to them to fully embrace what they have in mind of themselves. The hippie groove isn't for the faint of hearts. It's a commitment & way of life that one has to find within themselves. You don't go to a party & become a hippie for a moment then go back to a society lifestyle. You choose one & you work on that part. Can't multi-task on these things.

Tribal societies were not simply big huge parties. Tribal society is severe, serious, brutal, and yes unforgiving. Many people think they understand tribal societies because they have taken a plethora of chemicals both natural and synthetic. Getting high has very little to do with real true tribal society. When you live off the land you cannot afford to get high all the time because you are too busy trying to survive. Collecting water. Growing, hunting, finding, and preparing food. Reparing shelters. Stocking for next month, next season, next year. Its extremely hard work. These people remind me of the movie "the beach". Also you people chose to go during a global pandemic what did you expect?

Do you actually think these people want to live like indigenous communities. Non western folks and cultures, and these festivals, are just exotic backdrops, fetishes to them. They think that because they wear dreads, get high, dance with elders (who by the way are doing this for the money and completely water down what they teach to make it palatable.) and read blogs on holistic medicine that it magically absolves or escapes them from the violent postcolonial legacies which which they have inherited. These are the same people who walk around in black and brown neighborhoods that they gentrify with their wholefoods bag never even smiling at their neighbors but instead constantly complaining and calling the police on them for things like playing in the street.

@@luiscuesta0719 get one thing right here...ALL human ancestors 'colonised' an area...invading, yes invading it and a lot of those who were 'non white' invaders were extremely violent..even to the point where they invaded a land and drove many of the beautiful animals (I.E. The ORIGINAL land owners) to extinction.
