Join us on an unexpected yet exciting adventure! My wife and I had planned a perfect date flying to our favorite spot on the Pembina River in our Patina Cub to land on some sandbars and enjoy a mouth-watering steak supper. However, Mother Nature had other plans, and the wind was too strong for flying.
Plan B? We spontaneously loaded up our riverboat and headed to our beloved Athabasca River. It’s a spot brimming with cherished memories from my childhood - hunting, fishing, trapping, and camping. Even though the wind altered our plans, it didn’t stop us from embracing the outdoors we love so much.
As we savored our steak supper by the river, I share why I build the planes I do, and what keeps me experimenting with the modifications I choose when building custom bush planes, always with destinations like these in mind.
