From Provincetown to the World: FAWC's Artistic Legacy

The Work Center celebrates 50+ years of artistic freedom and leadership. For more than five decades, the Fine Arts Work Center has defined American arts and letters through a single promise: to give artists and writers a place to live and work together during the early stages of their creative development.
This video features past Fellows and visual artists Rehab El Sadek, Jeff Gibbons, Esteban del Valle, and poet David Hutcheson. Ada Limon, current U.S. Poet Laureate and past Fellow, reads an excerpt of Mary Oliver's "Can You Imagine?" during her visit to the National Cape Cod Seashore to launch her signature project. Thank you to Ada, the Library of Congress, the Poetry Society of America, the National Park Service, and Vaughan Fielder for this opportunity to welcome Ada home to Provincetown.
