In this eye-opening interview, we sit down with Autumn, a courageous woman who shares her harrowing journey of surviving life under a strict Baptist Christian cult. From enduring the control of the cult mentality from her parents to marrying an abusive pastor, she recounts the struggles, pain, and eventual triumph of escaping the chains of oppression.
Her story sheds light on the hidden realities of spiritual abuse, manipulation, and the strength it takes to break free and rebuild a life on her own terms.
This is more than just a story of survival-it’s a testament to resilience and hope. Join us as we uncover the truth behind her incredible escape and discuss the warning signs of toxic religious environments.
If you or someone you know is facing similar struggles, this video could be the encouragement they need to take the first step toward freedom.

Thank you so much for this show, JoAnn and for sharing your story, Autumn! I really resonate with your childhood and how strict it was. Like having Jesus pushed on you since birth. Multiple alter calls. Living in constant fear of hell. What a wild ride we have all been on!

Especially the fear of hell! Now that we know better we can live in love and not fear.

HA, I was talking to my husband and He knows how I am with the words.. He knows I also married a pastors son.. and how I no longer believe in submission.. He said Pastor/ PAST HER... those men preach to pass us women over.. look past us.. well you get the point.. Its always in the words.. hidden in plain sight the whole marriage thing is about horses anyways. A contract for the construct

You do have a way with words - Christianity has historically been structured as a patriarchal system, created and dominated by men, often prioritizing male authority and perspectives while marginalizing the voices and roles of women.
