He did a great job describing what its like here in Cuernavaca. We live in the San Anton Colonia & we love it here too. We dont own a car though, for us, we find it easier to taxi, walk, bus, or have things delivered.

Not so easy in Burgos sadly. But weirdly I enjoy the driving here. I can do alot of things you can't do in Scotland and it's freedom in a way

I was there to study Spanish several years ago and stayed a month. It is indeed a lovely city, my only complaint was the dogs barking during the night. I told my host I needed to move to a different neighborhood because of this and they told me it's like this throughout the city. They were sound sleepers but I'm not. Guess the dogs are left outside for security and when one starts you then end up with an orchestra. I only mentioned it because he didn't but it sounds like he's far from the city center and he may be blessed to be a sound sleeper.

I’d say it’s like this not just throughout the city, but throughout the country. Having outdoor dogs is common here, and outdoor dogs will bark in the night.

Cool, great job offer, perhaps I can work for your company, Cuernavaca is my home Town, unfortunately Cuernavaca used to be a great city, but these days security issues are something you really need to take into consideration when you need to be indoors after 6:00 pm.

Hi Graham, Irish here. I'm in Mexico City and planning on moving to Tepoztlán. Are you and your wife part of an expat community in Cuernavaca with other Brits or Irish?

@@Celticnik Hola! My name is Jess and my husband and I move to Cuernavaca last December… but we just moved to Tepotzlan this month. We love it here!!! Also HOLA GRAHAM!!! My daughter has been learning lots of folk music since we last spoke. We will be doing a concert in Tepotzlan this fall. I’ll send you an invite. ❤

Hi Celticnik yes we sometimes go to expat events like dinners but for the most part our friends are Mexican. Happy to have a jar with an Irish cousin though any time. Slainte!

@@awakentheremnant When is/was your concert? I live in Tepoztlán but currently very part-time. Retirement is just months away, and then planning on dividing our time between Tepoztlán and Toronto. Currently watching this video from my terrace in Tepoz, very much enjoying that golden orb overhead. Alas, back to the cold, grey North in just a couple of days. 😢

There are also frequent buses directly from the airport to Cuernavaca. It’s approximately a 2 hr trip on “Pullman de Morelos”, arriving at the centrally located bus terminal in Cuernavaca named “Casino de la Selva”. Easy peasy.

Cuernavaca use to be a nice city, weekrnd city for the Mexico city´s rich people. but last years is very violent city. be careful with kidnapping . Never go to Huitzilac´s area alone, that town is cradle of kidnappers.

Cuernavaca used to be very beautiful before 2005.... A lot of people. From other countryies lived here.. Most. Of them. Moved to merida or queretaro, Still has a lot of potential to reborn and be great .. But the goverments here are really bad. They just dont want to invest in having better urban area, and the quality of the roads is really really bad.. Cuernabaches. One of the worst. Cities in terms of quality roads.. Full of cracks and potholes every where not a single street is ok. 😂 Tremendous potential to be great again. The positive side is all that he mentioned is accurate I still live here and the good thing is that mexico city is just 45 min away
