I don't think you can take anything this guy says seriously. He believes he's the greatest defensive player to ever play the game. "I think I'm the best defender to ever play in the NBA," Green said on the Dubs Talk podcast (via Grant Liffman of NBC Sports). "I stand by that that. I'd put myself up against anyone." The greatest defensive player ever is without a doubt Bill Russell. Of course they didn't have an award for the best defensive player until the early 80s. If they had one, Russell would have one it nearly every year of his career. Wilt was a hell of a defensive player as well, and probably would have one the award in any year that Russell didn't. Just for fun lets see how many players have won more DPOY awards than the one that Green has for his entire career. Ben Wallace (4), Dikembe Mutombo (4), Rudy Gobert (3), Dwight Howard (3), Kawhi Leonard (2), Alonzo Mourning (2), Hakeem Olajuwon (2), Dennis Rodman (2), and Sidney Moncrief (2). And of course that doesn't even include Russell and Wilt, and some of the other great defensive players that played before there was an award. So no, I can't take anything this guy says seriously, whether it's about about LeBron, himself, or any other player.

I'm glad you pointed this out bc it needed to be said, but there's a lot more than just him: Lance Stephenson willingly said he couldn't wait to be Bron's weapon or something. Rondo comes to mind since he joined his team for a 2nd chip, but is a lesser example. The name that truly sticks out is Kendrick Perkins. Talk about a LeBron nuthugger. These guys were once among or allied with LeBron's fiercest rivals and they come and then it seems they get that Talk-no-Jutsu and become Bron's friendlies smdh.
@skap_attack11 ай бұрын
You're ABSOLUTELY right here with all of these players. It honestly is indicative of a sorry ass, pathetic era as well as the rise of Klutch and player empowerment. These players want to get rich more than win games. They think LeBron can help that achieve that end.

I agree with you about Draymond, and I thought he was a monster after the Jordan Poole slug, but from what I have heard since Jordan Poole was asking for it; multiple sources said Poole kept boasting about how much money he got paid and was taunting teammates about it, etc. and that contributed to Draymond's punch. I don't advocate violence, but it seemed Draymond actually taught the young pup a valuable lesson and humbled him. I think Jordan is better now for it.

Green was hands down the most overrated defender of all time. He wasn't the best defensive player on his own team. It was Bogut, Klay and Iggy. Bogut avg more rebounds (offensive too) and blocks then green when they played similar mins.
@skap_attack11 ай бұрын
I agree totally here. Iggy was also the vastly superior on ball guy. Green is more of just a team defender. While he is overrated as a defender, his offensive skillset is completely non existent tho lol. So what does that say about this guy?? lol

Another great video Skap. Was wondering if you've ever read "Return of the King" about LeBron's return to the Cavs? Even though it's written by two of his fanboys (Windhorst and McMenamin) I think you'd find a lot of material it. Even they can't hide how disrespectful LeBron was to Pat Riley or just how badly he treated David Blatt, for example.

The scary part is we're not talking one liners - these klutch riders go into entire monologues worshipping Lebronze. I mean before this worship, propagand(a) era, you wouldnt even hear guys praising their superstar teammates to this extent. DrayBron is a system player. Outside of that team, that role and this exact era, I can’t see him garnering any sort of attention for his stats, skill set, or accomplishments. Even the DPOY is largely because of the success of the team, not because he stood out from the field of defenders. Keep spreading the truth Skap!
