Jason and Lexie wanted a quiet, low key homestead to raise their 3 daughters on. When the property of their dreams became theirs they set out to raise their own food while working as a medical doctor and nurse. Their low key, quiet homestead soon turned itself into a full fledged farm where they now raise beef cattle, pigs, and both laying hen and meat chickens. Even though the farm is self sustaining, making money even; Jason and Lexie love their professional careers and continue to work their flexible off farm jobs. They may have set out to seclude themselves on a run down farm, but they have found something much bigger, a community of friends and farmers alike.

What she described about the depth of contact that their children have with the community ...that is HUGE and will pay off for their children in so many ways. lt sounds very similar to where l grew up 87 years ago and now in a different state, where my great grandchildren are growing up....close knit community.

@@BreakingNewRoots l'm listening with ear-buds. This is a common problem, not just with your videos.... my hearing loss is a part of the problem. Well just one more thing for your to worry about....🥸🙃 l really enjoy seeing the different ways that people are farming/homesteading....l find it quite hopeful in these polarized and strident days.....regards from the Ozarks
