Unsure which of your videos is most apropos for this comment but this video seems my best option. I suspect the voice Jim (and Donna) heard over the radio is The Town itself. The boy-in-white specifically stated the folks "made it angry" and the storm which brought down the tower (akin to the Tower of Babel) and blew out all the lights (using a surge of the origin-unknown electricity) happened just as The Voice said Tabitha "shouldn't be digging that hole". Note that NOBODY was actually killed by the storm, tower collapse or the blow-out. It was just a warning. Also note the deaths only occurred when Jim (mistakenly) RETURNED TO DIGGING THE HOLE (clearing the rubble from it is EFFECTIVELY re-digging it). I am so into your theories!! I have been thinking about so many possibilities for the town. It almost seems like they are stuck in some sort of time loop. Hence, why no one can seem to leave the town they just go in circles. The visions of the soldiers and dead children indicate some sort of massacre or something terrible that happened in the town some time ago. Are these visions actually trapped spirits? All these ppl must in some way have a blood connection to the town. Legend says once the spider woman starts spinning her web there is literally no escape it eventually kills you. Maybe this diety was forced to do this by something much worse, hence why she tries to help the residents by giving them clues to eventually escape the web. Could this whole thing be a curse of an ancient deity of some kind that someone or something got them all caught in out of revenge or a more sinister agenda?!

I think victor is doing all this, it’s from his trauma from what happened to him when he was a little boy. He has been in that town for so long. He has been lonely, and this town has become his home. He doesn’t want to leave it. With the trauma he has unknowingly created it. Like Randall said to Tim, “what if someone here is apart of it?” It’s victor. The creators of this show have to keep the audience intrigued, and keep us off track til then the end when we finally find out. when it’s all out that’s is victor. I hope you will remember i said it’s victor doing it all along.

Not to be too much of a geek 🤣 but in the vampire myth, vampires do actually have reflections but it's actually to do with the silver of old mirrors (nearly every mirror in the olden days was heavy and the back was real silver) Anyway, for whatever reason, silver affects vampires so that's why they don't see their reflection. So they could look in a modern day wood/normal mirror and would definitely have a reflection when looking in

@@ReelEnigmasandTheories I’ve been watching the show pretty closely and actually I feel like literally there’s meaning in literally everything they show or say. When you mentioned rituals, it instantly made me think about the bottle tree in season 1. I looked it up and say how they Indians used to capture spirits in bottles. I definitely feel like the soil of the forest used to be a battle ground where people died or something but it’s definitely connected to the forest. But it could also be some type of experiment as well.

The writing on the talismans are more akin to Norse mythos. But there could be a mixture. Things that stick out. Is the boy in white bad? How did Martin get the rope to Boyd. Elgin's "grandmother", owls, water. The toys on the steps in the tower. Why was Victor's mother wearing the bracelet Tabitha made and how did it end up in the room? This show is crazy!

@ReelEnigmasandTheories ok well first of all sorry this will be a long comment lol: I definitely don't think it's the alien theory like a lot of people are saying so I'm really glad you dismissed it. Like you said, I do think things are clues that we the audience are meant to look at and try to unravel alongside the characters; aliens would simply want to study us or kill us, I would think. This is all too complex to just be a study of humans by an alien race? There is definitely something supernatural although I never actually thought about 2 separate entities (or whatever is happening, with one helping and one hindering. Maybe like a yin yang thing?) as you suggested here. That is such a good and clever observation or guess! The native American aspect is very good to notice too; we live on a reservation (my husband's family is cherokee and ute) and there are hundreds of stories, beliefs, medicines etc on the reservations and within the culture (depending on, and varying between, each tribe) Plus, so much of America is still considered sacred land or has been prayed on or given boogers (often owls or birds like ravens/crows!!) to make it haunted as a punishment for the land first being stolen and we have no idea where the town actually is but definitely is still in America (again back to the alien theory, surely they'd study us in a simulation on a ship or something? Another reason I don't believe that's the case) So I've always thought it's all something scary and not related to aliens, I just didn't have any solid theory as to which direction it was going but the supernatural/native one, or something similar (I've seen people talk about it being similar to Nordic fairytales too) is definitely the direction I've been pulled.

I don’t think it’s a spider entity. It could be for sure. I could be wrong. I think the image on the talisman represents two individuals kind of mirroring each other. If you look closely, it also looks as though there are images of the sun rising and sun setting. Finally I believe that the stick images surrounding everything represents the forest.
