I think this was the best episode so far! The saddest death scene I’ve seen in a while! I also like the first seasons episode 1 as that’s what got me hooked! I also think that cowboy is to human like. Also noticing the monsters had to change to monster form when Boyd was over powering them! Also Tian was over powering that headband woman and she had to transform and her monster form eyes looked weird!. I think they are weak and slow in human form. Great video as always can’t wait for ep 2 😊

New thought, not important but when Boyd says remember what I told you about the trees he may have been telling him how he carved in them to create a path there and back. So maybe not a warning about going inside a tree. Since Boyd doesn’t know they are moving it created new path to those cabins. So moved trees to lead them there.

Yea looks like we have some new ppl arriving. There was a casting announcement before the season started about a new character named "Officer Acosta" joining the cast in season 3. I believe she's in the ambulance with the emt we see in the trailer. But it looks like the emt might not make it based on the previous trailer we got, i could be wrong but there was a scene that looked like the emt laying dead in the street. Can't wait to see how it all plays out.

@jessn7034 yea same, I like shows that really challenge me as a viewer. Not just the mystery aspects but also trying to figure out some of the deeper meanings behind some of the themes the show weaves. Haven't been this deep into a show since LOST.

So is all of this about having fun? Something that just wants to get it's rocks off? YIKES!! I also wondered why they (Jim & Kenny) didn't ask Victor for directions, very strange. Also, how deep was it that the granny monster knew how Ethan felt about the goat and she KNEW he would open the door if he saw it! Why else would she be waiting at the door? It does seem like Father Khatri and perhaps Tom may be appearing to track the pulse of our heroes. Surely Abby is. Whoo, so good!

It’s amazing the most important thing to me isn’t even being discussed… Boyd yelled this place won’t break him? The monsters heard him, how?? They sleep during the day! Oh and there was fighting over the animals being killed for food or not, what happens later? The monsters release all the animals to set a trap! They heard that also! How is this possible? I’m sure once Boyd gets his mind back together he’s gonna think about what the monster said to him.

So I just looked up these numbers we saw in at the church Tabitha went (104 on top of 1920). Go back to ep 1 and pause at 31.42. In the bible. I looked up Psalms 104 then went to Verses 19 and 20. Here's what I got. Now, I'm suspicious of that priest and that church lol. Any thoughts? Its possible Victor's mum got home but unlike tabby told the doctors what she saw and she was drugged up and sectioned while her husband looked after her till she either died or is still in a mental hospital. I think Victor's sister was the person trying to get into the cabin and watching them from the darkness in a couple of screens. Like when there in the campervan in s2.

I’m curious about the fact that the cowboy was called a “nightmare creature” during a rewatch with closed captions turned on. This ties in with last season’s characters who experienced real life reactions to their dreams. Last season, Sara surmised that the forest used the nightmares of those who died after she recalled her brother Nathan was terrified of cicadas. By the way, the Boy In White is still played by the same actor, according to the end credits. I didn’t think it was Vox Smith in Camden, but that is still the same actor who has portrayed the Boy In White in the first two seasons.

My theory is that the talismans never truly worked. The monsters just play along because they want to give people hope, similarly I think that whoever lived in those huts Jim and Kenny went to, thought that the scarecrow totem things would protect them, until they didn't. So i wouldn't be surprised if the monsters just start stepping inside the houses or breaking windows on their own in the future episodes, without considering the talismans anymore if the town makes them more angry. There's definitely more to these things than meets the eye... But this is just an idea that came to mind, what do you all think?

Some ppl agree with you & think thus is the case, that the monsters have been pretending in hopes the town starts letting their guard down. If the Talismans stop working all of a sudden, that's going to add a very interesting dynamic to the show. Cause then all bets are off.

You're overthinking the Father Khatry thing. He is just Boyd's inner monologue; a way for us to see Boyd's thought process. He was asking how those three are doing because Boyd is wondering himself. They seem to be fine physically, but mentally? Clearly not. And Khatry says whatever he is is up to Boyd because it is.

I disagree, there’s a reason the writers put that specific line in there about Boyd comparing Khatri to his wife’s appearance. The writers clearly want us to question if this is Boyd subconscious or something else

@margiem1534 maybe they want you to question Boyd questioning himself. His state of mind and what not. The entity that runs the town manifesting itself as Boyds wife and Khatry are two different things. It's similar to Jade and the bartender. The bartender is Jades thought process, him trying to work out a problem to solve, while Khatry is more of a mental/emotional thing for Boyd.

They could easily be an entity as easy as their subconscious, that’s why the show is leaving it ambiguous, they want us to question it like most of the aspects of the show

@smilingknight8603 we 99% do know. It's just a stylistic choice by the writers, so that we the audience can understand- again- their thought process. All the scenes with Jade trying to figure out the symbol would be boring or seem out of place with him just talking to himself or being silent, so the bartender makes perfect sense. I pretty much guarantee you with Jade/bartender this is the case. With Boyd there is maybe a 5% chance it's something else, if that. Khatry was Boyds advisor when he had a moral dilemma and we lost that when he was killed off, so it is both a way to sort of bring him back, but also to give us insight into Boyds internal struggles
