Yes, two vehicles arrive to usher in the end of every cycle. It’s been two boats back when there were no cars (there were rivers in Fromville at that time to bring them in) and two horse-drawn carriages. This happens every time the cycle is about to end. Victor said it’s only ever happened once because he’s only been a part of two cycles - the one in 1978 in which his mother was killed and in the current cycle that we see in the show. So it would be impossible for him to know how many times in other cycles this has occurred. As Victor has only been a part of two cycles (briefly in 1978 and fully within the current cycle) he’s only seen the perpetual summer and has forgotten his memories about Autumn and winter. Like the two vehicles, the changing of the seasons are signs that the current cycle is coming to its end. Jade is this cycle’s Christopher, a man driven insane by the twisted roots symbol and who betrays the residents. Christopher helped the creatures find all of the people’s hiding spots and since the creatures are allowed to both run and attack during the day at the end of the cycle it was easy for them to kill everyone. Jade is going to betray everyone by stealing all of the talismans. This happened before in at least one earlier cycle which is why Boyd found them all buried in that small cavern - that’s where the previous traitor hid them. Jade, like Christopher before him, is the Harbinger of the End. And since we see the creatures inside of the resident’s houses and not a talisman in sight in the third season trailer, Jade will betray them this season. It could possibly be a vision and Jade could possibly refuse to betray the residents of Fromville, but eventually either he will break or ‘Cthulhu’, the dread lord of Fromville, will turn someone else into the traitor, so there’s still a little hope for Jade. Victor is not slated to survive this cycle; that’s why he has run out of his beloved peaches. It is ETHAN who is slated to be the ‘designated survivor’ as Victor was in 1978. Oh, and Tabitha is Vincent’s sister. In 1978 she jumped into a Faraway Tree after her mother was killed on her quest to free the enslaved children, and she wound up at the Lighthouse where the Boy in White pushed her out for the first time. She suffered a traumatic brain injury the first time and she was inflicted with amnesia; this, and her memories of her true self, are why she has so many frequent and painful headaches. She was also pushed into a later year (between 1985-1990) so that she would meet Jim and have children with him, most important of whom is Ethan - this cycle’s designated survivor. Victor has been drawn to Ethan, and to Tabby and Julie, because he is Julie and Ethan’s uncle and Tabby’s brother. Even Jim will eventually come around and warm up to Victor once it’s discovered that he’s Tabby’s brother. Fromville is a cosmic chess game (now you know why chess is so important in this show) between the Cthulhu-ish evil entity that controls the pocket dimension that Fromville exists within, and the ‘good entity’ that opposes the evil one. The Boy in White isn’t a former victim but is the avatar of the good entity that is trying to help the trapped residents. Lastly, it is ABBY who is screaming while Boyd is being held by the creatures. She is being turned into one of the creatures and Cthulhu is forcing Boyd to watch because it really, really hates Boyd as Boyd is one of the main chess pieces, probably the King piece, that Cthulhu knows could possibly defeat him. Despite the lies that the fake Abby told Boyd, hope weakens Cthulhu and hopelessness, fear, and sorrow feeds it. Boyd is the main holder of hope within Fromville and the entity wants to break him. Will it succeed? Well, if watching his beloved wife having the innards of someone previously killed by the creatures stuffed inside of her to be revived as a creature herself doesn’t break him nothing will.

I have a ridiculous amount of theories that I’m writing up in a very, very long post that I’m gonna post to the From subreddit soon. I definitely believe that some of my theories are right and others are just my best guesses, and I have no doubt that many of them are going to be proven wrong. I just hope that they don’t end the series without answering the questions; I hate ambiguous endings!

To me, From feels like what Lost would have been if they hadn't had any network guardrails to reign them in. Lots of similar themes, characters, situations, and McGuffins. Just sayin'.

Toby was either killed because he would have understood what was happening or because of the town's strict accounting for no more than fifty people allowed. The Voices had to have a reason why they'd make Sarah dismember Toby's body to match what the monsters do. They also had Sarah leave the door to where Toby was open to the monsters- That means either the Voices knew the monsters wouldn't attack Toby for some reason and had Sarah do it while framing them or Toby might have recognized the monsters somehow and stopped them? Maybe he'd have recognized the entire town as a beta site for whatever him and Jade had created?

What if it is actually an escape room and the people trapped inside willingly signed up to play. This could be set in the future in some sort of virtual reality and the contestants have to find clues to progress. I think a lot of the people trapped inside have previously been in the town before. One of the monsters asks Julie if she recognises him. Jade seems to echo Christopher and Elgin seemed to know the town and remember the nursery rhyme

I don't think it was a coincidence that Jade a software designer and Jim a amassment park designers were trapped in Fortville at the same time. I have a hunch on why that is. What if from is not real and those two are designing a game or maybe even a elaborate escape room and total got so involved with the planning that they both lost grip on reality. I do appreciate your very specific answers and the way you diligently go over the episodes to connect the dots for us. I can see that Jade is a man of science and not magic and mysticism. However I do not believe the answers in the show are only scientific. I believe magic and mysticism have there place along side science in life and in this show. The talismans prove that some magic is at work. Why do the talismans repel the creatures? I have my own thoughts on that. I believe this show is in part based upon the fairies, and another world that lies right next to our world. I think that Ethan and his Fairy stories are linked to some of what is happening in Fromtown. I believe the Talismans work to repel the Creatures because the Talismans contain Iron ore, and Iron repels Fairies. I think the Creatures are Fairies. The Fairies in the Celtic Myth Traditions are not little sweet Tinkerbell with wings. The Fairies in Celtic Myth are sometimes very violent if provoked. I think the barrier between the Otherworld of Fromtown is the fallen tree.

Wormholes are theoretical. So is time travel - all theoretical. It's 'fringe' science, something we currently are incapable of doing. Whoever the entity is, has the ability to cross dimensions. In Stephen King's Dark Tower, he writes about a tower (like a lighthouse) that connections dimensions. Whatever this entity is - it's able to connection multiple dimensions that cross time (past to present) and can also project future events.

Jade and friend were loaded, and his friend drove for him…..jade was supposed to be alone, that’s why his bud was killed so quickly and not by monsters. Jade screwed up the game dynamics

Looking at the map 8:49, it seems some people originated from desert regions. However, even if there were trees in those areas, the landscape would be completely different from Fromville, making the teleportation noticeable. To me, the 'fallen tree' seems like a fabricated memory implanted in their minds.

Your theories about Jade are going off into fantasy land. Not sure why so many people think so well of him. His behavior in Fromville mirrors his behavior in the real world. He's a thief, a braggart, a lazy bum, a narcissist with anger management issue. He starts the first day stealing a bike from a girl at Colony House. Mrs Liu comes up with the idea about electricity, he steals that idea too, stating, "Nobody else could have come up with it." Then, he steals Victor's violin and every time he talks to Victor, he's screaming at the top of his voice. And when work needs to be done, like the radio antennae, he disappears and goes sulking to Mrs, Liu. When the work is done, he shows up giving everyone orders like he's the boss or project manager. These are the facts about Jade based on what I've seen and he just drinks and does his stupid thought experiments. I have not seen him contribute anything to the rest of the people in the village.

When he mentioned Einstein and Rosen, he wasn't referencing an Einstein-Rosen bridge (wormhole). He said "Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen", referring to the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox (EPR paradox) paper, written by aforementioned scientists, which described quantum entanglement for the first time. So, if his statements are relevant, you should be looking at quantum entanglement. Not wormholes.

I think they’re in purgatory. A wormhole is a sphere/circle so there’s levels within it and it’s a repeat cycle - there is only one way to leave that place. Seems like you only live after you die, I think Tabitha may end up proving this. A worm hole is not a sphere. You might have the term confused with "black hole" which is a sphere. Black holes have been proven to exist and have objective properties shown within the evidence of them... A worm hole is only a theory and has no evidence of existing, so their properties would only be what the theory creators came up with based on their math... So a worm hole would be a tunnel through an extra dimensionnal space... And the entrance would look like a flat window where you see what's in front of the exit of the tunnel. And passing through the entrance would immediately have you leaving the exit simultaneously. Because they would not be able to perceive the travel through a 4th dimension... And the From village wouldn't be IN the wormhole. The video is just speaking a theory on how people got to the town. As in, the wormhole would be on the road. They enter it on a road back where they are "from”😉 lol, and they exit it on the road heading towards the fallen tree... And they wouldn't realize the wormhole was there because all they would see is the road they are on cut straight to the road leading to the downed tree. A 3d sphere doesn't explain the extra dimensional phenomenon that a wormhole would be. Lol anyone who bothered to read this will better understand wormholes and extra dimensional theoretical physics lolol
